Frank Bruno on Sky Sports 'Sporting Heroes' show, for those interested. Not big into boxing, but you'd be a madman to not love Frank. Just from the intro, the interviewer Ellery Hanley (ex rugby player): "Welcome to the show Frank, you're looking well, obviously keeping yourself in shape" ... Frank "not looking so bad yourself, Ellery. He, he-he-he!" F***, I missed that chuckle ! Dr. Hibbert's laugh in the Simpsons had to be based on him! Great quote (as per usual): "I couldn't work, I've been diagnosed as dyslexic since I was a child. I was going to be a doorman, or working on a building site... I had to do something with meself, I had to take up boxing. I was too heavy for athletics, too scared for rugby, and so I had to take up boxing" ... and "but I didn't have skill, I just had determination and resilience." You just don't see athletes with that level of extroverted humbleness and honesty these days, we really need another Frank Bruno. I was about 6 when he won the world title, and I really wish I could properly see someone like him make it to the top at an age to appreciate it properly. The more I watch of this, and we're only 10-15 minutes in, the more I hope this gets uploaded somewhere. Not just boxing fans (I don't really follow it much), but everyone needs to see this. Such a top guy, hope we get a 30-for-30 type documentary on him at some stage; he deserves it. He literally will not shut up over how petrified of rugby he is, to flatter the interviewer!
