FIFA registers the friendly match if it is reported as an "A" match. If the federations want the match removed, they have to contact FIFA. So far, neither UAE or Uzbekistan has contacted FIFA to tell them to remove the match. In theory (and according to their official statutes), FAs should tell FIFA in advance about any friendly match, and pay a fee to FIFA for this match. If they don't do so, FIFA in theory should fine the teams involved. In practice, all teams do not inform FIFA, and FIFA does not issue fines for failure to do so.
http://tribune.com.pk/story/336378/football-valentines-day-setback-for-uzbekistan/ "The PFF Secretary Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi revealed that Uzbekistan wanted to play in Dubai on February 29 and March 4 but Pakistan, refusing to bear the cost of the trip, rejected the proposal." Obviously this is not strictly true - Uzbekistan has a World Cup qualifier on 29th February, so couldn't play Pakistan on that date anyway. "“Maldives, Sri Lanka and Nepal have asked us about friendly matches and are willing to come to Pakistan. But they’re available in May since their players are busy in the ir domestic seasons right now.”" Possible friendly matches in May. Not much use to prepare for AFC Challenge Cup in March.

Kuwait scored late in the game, as usual. They were on the verge of defeat, at the hands of the North Koreans, since they've been leading 1-nil for almost the entire game. And just a month ago, Kuwait played another friendly against Uzbekistan and scored a late winner in the game, as well. That's not a good sign. If they cant score until the 86th minute of back-to-back friendlies, then it beats me how they're going to outscore a South Korean side that is going to play in front of its own crowd, in a very important do-or-die match. They're going to make a meal out of our players. I just cant wait for all of this to be over. Kuwaiti analysts and pundits, as well as fickle football fans, are daydreaming about our chances of winning in South Korea. The sooner the South Koreans hammer Kuwait before halftime, in two weeks' time, the better it is for everyone.

My friend was able to send me highlights of the match. Yet again, several Kuwaiti players were involved in another fight. Talal Nayef is pathetic and needs to be sidelined in the game against S. Korea. He literally kicked a Chinese player for no valid reason whatsoever, other than the fact he was getting his backside handed to him during the first half. So, as Kuwaiti players normally do when getting outplayed by their opponents, Talal took it to himself to start a fight over nothing. Ironically, the Chinese player was given the red card, after Talal took a Hollywood-style knock to his nose, when all of a sudden his entire face blew up. The Chinese hammered us. Kuwait's defense was in shambles, utter shambles! It could have been a massacre if it wasn't for the fact the Chinese players didn't take the game too seriously. China had so many chances to double, triple and quadruple the lead. Our defense was simply torn apart. The Koreans are going to have a field day with this miserable team.
Iran 2 - 2 Jordan FT. We were down 2-0. Iran had a mediocre first half, but still had the best chances. After Jordan scored the 2nd goal on penalty, Iran started a ferocious pressure and dominated the rest of the game and succeeded to equalize in the dying minutes of extra time. Credit to Jordan, they played a good and physical game.
Caught the second half of that game. Pretty decent. Shows that Jordan are not to be sniffed at in the final round, not that there was any doubt about that anyway. Hamad has the team playing a disciplined counter attacking game and it seems to suit them very well. Should be a very competitive round 4 this time around
