    Iraq is going to eat Iran in the first match :D We let you win in non-important games like the once in WAFF :p but when it comes to the big games we will take it!

    Come on, have you seen the Iran-Iraq head-to-hear record? What was the last "big game" you won against Iran? 1996 Asian Cup? :p

    The funny part here is that its properly true, I don't know why but almost every single time we play its 50-50 and then something stupid happens and you win with single goal...and my blood boils, now its revenge I feel it (Hope I don't Jinx us now :p)

    May the best team win *Ehmm IRAQ* :D

    I'm okay with loosing against Iraq. If we loose against any other arab team I will have nightmares for a month.

    IMHO, There is no excuse for Iraq to not to win this tournament.
    Most of our team players play in decent Arab/Asian Leagues; most of them play/played in Qatar and they know the atmosphere and the field play in Qatar. Our players are well experienced; most of the team players are the 2007 Asian Cup Champions. Our team is well prepared for the Asian Cup; we played 16 matches with our new coach, so I think he made his final touches for the Asian Cup. Our players are in form and we don't have injuries as I know. Unlike 2007 our team now doesn’t have any interior problems. So many Iraqi fans in Qatar, we'll have the support.

    I think Our first match against Iran is the key to the final, Good luck to Iraq. :)

    //
    Personal note in general: The team I'm afraid the most in the Asian cup is South Korea. with all the respect to the other teams, but I would like to see Iraq avoid playing against South Korea in the Quarter finals.

    One of Qatar's selling points for getting WC 2022 was that it was going to be "compact" and you could go to more than one game in a day in different stadiums. I'm going to put this to the test on Tuesday and go to both North Korea v UAE @ Qatar Sports Club and then Iran v Iraq in Al-Rayyan. The stadiums are close but traffic/getting through the gates will probably make it very tight to be there by kick-off. Anyhoo probably won't wear my USA jersey on Tuesday, I'll wear my New Zealand rugby shirt instead. :p

    Good luck to all teams involved - hopefully they're good games!

    Should be a close match. I hope Iran proves me wrong though. 1-1 or 2-1 to Iran is what I expect
