Not sure why they picked Wrigley Field in Chicago with multiple better venue options. Wrigley is a dump, and ancient in terms of amenities, especially for the players and staff. They're going to see the locker rooms and have a laugh. Also, I don't think many people will go. Polish fans will likely outnumber the Italians. If they price this too high it will be very empty
I don't exactly understand why they picked baseball stadiums in the first place. CITI Field, Fenway Park, Wrigley....I can kind of understand Fenway since the co-ownership with the Red Sox though. I'm assuming its because they're in major cities, more densely populated, ability to generate more buzz, more money making potential, etc. As supposed to NY Red Bulls Arena in Harrison, NJ, even though its a great stadium that puts you up close to all the action.
Have you seen European football locker rooms?? I have had better locker rooms playing hockey and american football growing up. Anything that goes on at Wrigley gets massive attention, Illinois vs Northwestern for example.
Here is the seating chart for the game at Wrigley field. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/ticketing/soccer.jsp Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 24, at 10 a.m. CDT. I am definitely going with my wife and young kids. I want to sit in the supporters section. I have never been to a Roma game anywhere so I can't wait! Who else is going?
Aahhh sorry clicked the wrong thread.. But yeah just hopeful thinking. I don't think we could land him
Got my tickets for the Chicago date through a pre-sale. 6 rows up on the center stripe. If you want the link and password for the pre-sale (general tickets go on sale Thursday) PM me.
Got my tickets too! Thank you Midfield General for the information! After fooling around for about 30 minutes, I got lucky and bought front row tickets in the Roma supporter section. Hope the crowd isn't too rowdy for my wife and kids... I just couldn't pass up first row tickets though.
A lot of you have kids here.... Don't frighten me. I think me and Nicky's tickets are real close too, never been to wrigley but row h Roma supporters
My kid is older than a lot of you. Older than 2/3 of the Napoli forum, if I had to guess. Not bringing her, though. Bringing my lady and her sister.
Hello all, any new info on New York game? Bringing the family up, my oldest son who is 13 loves Roma and his nickname at school is Totti. So I have to take him to one of these games and New York is the only one that works out. Just wanting to confirm my flights as we were flying up Saturday morning but not sure of game time. Hoping it's not an early start like the Chicago game.
why are they boys on the napoli forum? Idk what they do over there but their thread doesn't seem to be too bad
I'm kind of in line with NickyViola. If some here think Henchag can be dramatic, well then the Napoli board is like that times a thousand. I found it especially amusing that in a year where they weren't even close to contending for the title someone would make a thread proclaiming them the real champions of Italy after winning the Coppa.
NickyViola I just reread my comment. I didn't make it to seem the questioning of your statement, I meant it more like "Why, are they young over there?" not like "Why do you assume they are young boys". technology. This is why I get into so many arguments with girls over texting.
Anyone know when the NY tickets go on sale? I'm a little disappointed with the opponents, but no doubt I'm still going.
