hahaha. No I have only walked by it, one time we went to the house of blue for a concert. Probably take Amtrak in, but I think it is just as slow as driving. Have you?
i've never been before either. can't wait! i used to be a tour guide at a major league baseball stadium, so historical baseball stadiums have always been huge for me. i got to see my first game at yankee stadium during the last series there before it was demolished. can't believe my first fenway experience will be sitting on the green monster watching roma play!!! i recently bought some seats from fenway park, so i might have to sneak into section 100 and see what the view is like from where these used to be located.
Yup, but never in left field like we will be for this one. I'd like to hear your opinion after the match. I love the history and nostalgia (I was a history major before I switched to journalism) but if you think the Artemio Franchi is a crappy place to see a sporting event...
take one of those chinatown buses. it's only 15$, and they drive down the I-95 at 90+mph but there's only a 1% chance the bus will swerve/crash and everyone on board will be decapitated
+1 I've never taken a Chinatown bus personally (I've only lived here a little less than 2 years) but they are what all of my local friends take, and recommend, for travel between here and NYC.
i was being sarcastic lol. i vowed to never take the chinatown buses again in lieu of recent bus accidents. i used to take those buses to/from philly. i've experienced it all: rain leaks, smelly bathrooms, AC problems during the summer, heating problems during the winter, etc. i'd much rather pay 4x more for amtrak delta shuttle's also not a bad shout if you're traveling from NY
it was one of those casino shuttle buses out of chinatown going to/from mohegan, and run by one of those shady chinatown shadow companies. 16 ppl died i think 3 days later, the same thing happened on another chinatown shuttle bus between NY/philly on the turnpike
haha What do I know? I'd still risk it, though. I took a Greyhound from Detroit to Phoenix once. Was wishing someone would decapitate me from about Dayton on.
that sounds like pure hell. Yeah I figure Amtrak might be smooth, and I can get it out of Metropark here. Dunno, my friend has a golf turbo diesel so that gets good mpg too. Nicky, our seats are like directly behind the goal?
Honestly Jovetic gets injured so much I'd wager Osvaldo has a better career. I couldn't swap Jovetic for anybody, to be honest, but it might be the wise move.
don't know if they're even playing in NY at all. first rumor was playing against a "quality" team in RB arena second rumor was vs lazio at yankee stadium. nothing's confirmed i'm still waiting. if they're not going to NY, i'll attend the boston game (i hate going there)
According to the first story on the English version of your official site you will be playing one in NYC. Dunno who against, though.
according to today's roma press release, http://www.asroma.it/en/news/news.html?id=5259 they ARE playing in new york... "Details on the other US stops for the Giallorossi will be revealed sometime in May; however the club is scheduled to play matches in Chicago and New York City, on their maiden voyage to America. As a special benefit, AS Roma season subscribers will be offered a private allocation of tickets available for purchase across all three matches, which will be made available when all tour dates are announced."
barring injuries, i don't know if the euros will have any affect on who is here for the us tour. the euro 2012 final is July 1... they could give everyone who played in the final 3 weeks off and they could still make the game in boston.
Don't forget the Olympics too. Which I think could effect some of our younger players. However unlikely it's possible that Nico Lopez makes that Olympic squad. Uruguay has a good crop of forwards obviously but I think they'll take at least two age eligible forwards. The South American countries will take it more seriously then European ones because there's no major tournament this summer. Like I think Uruguay will send Suarez and Cavani as overage players. Then of course we're linked to a few young Brazilians, the competition for places is pretty intense all of them want to go, so if we signed Dede for example he might have it in the agreement that's he's released for the Olympics. I have read thought hat Nico Lopez moving to Roma how he did burned some bridges with the FA and people inside Uruguay. I'm not sure what exactly the gripe is about.
