There is quite a lot of central americans in NYC. Not sure if they are anywhere else really on the East Coast. Maybe Florida?
Sorry about not posting updates. Was an intense game. I knew that El Salvador fans were scum. They have played here before and always cause trouble. Just like tonight, in the stands throwing bottles on the field, spilling beer on people, trying to run on the field, and so on. Was surrounded by a bunch of jerkoffs. I thought my girl was going to deck this drunk El Salvadorian girl that kept waving her flag in front of her, bumping into her, and nearly spilling beer on her through out the game. She said if she was back in Brasil it woulda been on. Anyway about the game. Roma should have been able to go up a nice amount in the first half. Had some good chances, but couldn't put them away. El Salvador picked it up in the 2nd and I was praying that they didn't go ahead or tie the game. Was happy Roma got a 2nd to get the win. Was really nice to see Totti in person. Didn't take many pics, but I snapped this one just in time.
When people talk about Mexicans all being illegal, many of them are really El Salvadorian. I knew what to expect from them.
There all over Southern California. I'm not trying to generalize but one of the biggest gangs in Southern California is MS-13, and it's mostly El Salvadorian. Which is why they hate Mexican gangs, because those countries don't get along.
Really wish Osvaldo hit the bicycle attempt in the first off the rebound from the crossbar. Would have been awesome.
Every place has good people and bad people, but there are certain ways you should act. The way they act at games is horrible. By far the worst fans I have ever come across in person at games.
yeah. I feel like a cousin of Italy but at the same time I don't sing the Italian National anthem. I know most of the words, but the only thing I'll say is "Si!" at the end. I know where I am from, and I am glad I didn't grow up fishing in south sicily 12 hours a day.
Which is the most annoying thing for people with an interest in the development of he game in this country. The Gold Cup final the US outnumbered at the Rose Bowl by Americans who support the Mexican national team. I have a couple friend in LA who are die hard El Tri fans and I've been to Mexico more times in my life than they have.. I mean I support the Italian national team but I always support the USMNT and the league.
its tough it all depends on how people are raised a lot of Latin Americans grow up learning Spanish first and were constantly exposed to that culture at a young age and then go to school and start using english more and gaining exposure to american culture the same way like me just not latin american but Italian. Would i go out of my way to go to a friendly to see italy play and cheer them on prob not if it was a world cup then maybe but i wouldn't act disrespectful to the other teams fans i dont feel a strong connection with the USA team because i dont really watch the mls but if they succeed ill be glad and hope more Americans stop hating on soccer.
El Salvador could have put a few on the board in the second on some 2 on 1's, but they got greedy and didn't pass. Two big saves by the Roma keeper. I liked Lamela and Osvaldo.
