i agree with you on the polyester not breathing well, but i have a roma jersey from 2004 or 2005 made by diadora and it was made of the actualy material that the players wear (13% lycra blend or something like that). Most comortable thing i have ever worn, im pretty sure kappa makes those as well but the 100% polyester seems to be all we can find here

The first probably fake concept version of the new kits. In my opinion, I like this design. It reminds me to our CL-kits we won with against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu thanks to a goal of Totti. It is also in line with the new designs of Kappa, so it could be similar to the new shirts.

Last year I've heared that we will wear the new badge for the next season 2010/2011. So the badge of last years black outfit. So that can change. Also the kappa badge in the center could be left off, because there is Kappa written in the neck and that would be double and too much Kappa on it.

If anyone finds other concepts or pictures of the new shirts, post it!!

that one is a great shirt... I liked the Diadora ones a lot better. Rosella really effed up by getting Kappa. although they gave more money than Nike offered, it did nothing to boost the global image of Roma.... its super hard to find Kappa outside of Italy and Western Europe.

that example above is nice. I just wish we had a different sponsor and the label on the front wasn't so obnoxious.

I totally agree. Kappa has made beautiful jerseys for Roma. It gave Roma an image. The image of stretch shirts for real fighters, gladiators of Rome. Even Diadora made stretch shirts for our club. I like this image and I like the shirts every year. I hope this image wouldn't be lost in the following years. I like Kappa!!

I also like the Wind logo very well, but that's in my opinion. I respect others opinion too.

    Mister Kappa: “Accordo record”

Eh, lo so…

Releasedate of the new shirts will be July 13, 2010. So we need to wait about one month.

Yes it means that Kappa will continue to make our kits until at least 2017. I am happy with that news, I like Kappa's kits and think they have always done a good job for us. That "fake concept kit" above looks very nice.

Good man I thought I was on my own.. It seems like everybody is very pro Kappa, which is confusing to me.. I was hoping next year to walk into a store and see a big poster of Mirko with a Nike Roma jersey and his Nike cleats on or a De Rossi adidas poster with a Roma Adidas jersey.. Instead I gotta go see more Sneijder and Maicon posters left and right!!

agreed. It's just because Kappa offered more money for the deal than probably Adidas Nike or Puma. She only think about dollar amounts, global image and expanding the company is not important to her. more about the quick fix.

Either thats it or she just fails at all economics and common sense

Most of the time I have worn my Roma kit to a football game (television or when I go to local club stadiums) people ask me which team it is.

I don't understand why the Kappa online store only ships to the EU? If people in other markets want to buy your product and pay to have it shipped to them, why avoid that?

i'm not worried about finding the jerseys. i'm more concerned about the accessories like the felpa. i've always wanted an as roma felpa from before they switched to diadora. this years style is great too, but you cant find it here except for online. i have a bad experience buying clothes online. i'd have to try it on to make sure it fits. i bought a kappa in 02 and it was too small. i never learned my lesson the second time when i ordered the diadora one; to small. what a hassle, never again.
    these days sizes mean nothing.
i have no choice but to wait til i finally go back to visit my parents in ladispoli. hoping tickets get cheaper.

I've always liked the design of Roma Jerseys, and I prefer them to any other teams' jerseys...but the issue is:
    1. Maybe Kappa offered more money to the Club, BUT it's not about being 5-6 or 7 million, it's about widespread distribution of kits...this will ultimately result in:
    2. People knowing who Roma is and:
    3. More and more fans abroad and:
    4. Tons of merchandise sold, which is millions of €$

like i said before, Rosella doesn't understand about international marketing strategy or even domestic marketing. Shes not a business person. just the daughter of one.

I've seen a couple of fake Roma designs in the past weeks, but this could be the new shirt I think. I saw this picture on a website based on new shirts for Serie A. It is also similar to the new shirt of Dortmund, who also have Kappa as shirtsponsor.

Probably the real design will be more attractive than this painting. If this will be our next home shirt, it would be a big change in my opinion. Many club are always staying with the same design.
