Yes ... I'm from a city called Monopoli . 25-35 min away from Bari.

I'm disappointed by the fact that Bari are not in the serie A. Some great talent from that part of Italia.....

    Re: AS Bari

I would love to see Bari back in the Serie A one day. The first season of Serie A soccer I started watching was the 1998-99 season and Bari finished 10th. They looked like a decent team too.

These days, Bari don't look like a team capable of Serie A action within five years. Bari has been involved in relegation battles or they float around the mid table area. I can't predict a change.

It's a pity about the stadium. It's a very good stadium but the stadium is too big for a city that is very small. The only time it was full was in the 1991 European Cup Final between Red Star Belgrade and Marseille.

Does anyone remember a Colombian striker who played for Bari called Miguel Guerrero or Guerrero Paz? How the hell did he stay with Bari for so long? After scoring 34 goals in 54 matches in Colombia sometime in early 1990s, Bari bought him, played for several seasons in Puglia but he was only averaging a goal or two a season. What was up with that?

bari's youth team player Giovanni Montani has been killed, according to police report they killed him because his family owed money and he was associated with the mafia, so they got even by doing that. Anybody know more on this or on the player?

Never heard of him. I wonder what it will do to the club though. The senior team has been doing well and for the first time in a few years, the Pugliesi might be back in Serie A.

Now a Texan magnate has taken over and it looks like Antonio Conte may return as coach.

I loved our counter attack today. The team didn't seem too nervous. Stayed compact and didn't freak out. Alvarez and Kutuzov had good games. Kutuzov was really dangerous last year and hopefully he can keep up that type of form this year. It was a really nice goal he scored, I was scared with his first touch but he kept it under control. Non-existent penalty, I must say. If that happened to Bari, do you think the ref would've called it? The big clubs are still favoured. Ventura's plan seemed to work well, we didn't just play the long ball up to the forwards. Everyone seemed really comfortable on the ball.

Can't wait for next week. Early game on Saturday. Forza Bari...Sempre

There would have been a yellow for diving. Milito is a right twat.

Good game by you guys. Hopefully you'll stay clear of relegation.

    Re: AS Bari

Bari should have won 2-1 or 3-1. There was a scenario in the first half in which Kutuzov tripped over the ball.

Iago will be a player to watch out for. I'm not sure if he'll take Gazzi or De Vezze's place in the team though.

They certainly looked like they belong in Serie A. I agree that they did not look nervous, they passed crisply and created some very nice chances. All-in-all a good start to the season.

On a side note, does anyone know where you can buy Bari gear in the U.S. or easily off the web?

You guys were unlucky. Materazzi should have been sent off, if it was a Bari player he would have gotten a red card. Also the penalty ... well I don't think I even need to say anything.

    Good luck durring the season.

Kutuzov has been squandering a few easy chances. Maybe he can't adapt to Bari's fast tempo football.

I still rate him as a quality player. He had some great goals last year. He really blew that opportunity against Bologna though. Hopefully, when Barreto comes back they will gel well together again.
