But he's been following the team since the Clint Dempsey days...

People keep using the join date for BigSoccer ... to prove something. But I have no idea why?

Who is to say I haven't been on BigSoccer for awhile?

My idea (which you will all inevitably shoot down)

A real showing of displeasure. Shirts, Scarfs, Marches around the stadium , and anything we can get away with.

Media coverage can create results. Revs have a tough amount of Media coverage so reaching out is hard. That is the only way people will ever know what Kraft has done. I know it has been tried, but persistence is key.

All of this can be done while supporting the team on the field.

I am done with this thread, so go ahead and talk down to someone who is just trying.

Because it worked last year? We had shirts, scarves, a march, a protest, we got media coverage...and they sacked Nicol and we got another 0.30 PPG.

Been there, tried that. There are far too many people, even in The Fort, who are too content with ownership and the status quo. People who are content just going to a tailgate, catching up with old friends, and taking in a little live soccer.

It was a reaction to an event which overshadowed the message. I think it needs to happen for awhile.

Set up the march. Design the scarves. Share the lyrics to your protest song.

    I'll march, I'll buy a scarf, I'll sing.

But if you want someone else to do those things for you, I'm afraid you and I might have an issue

Don't know about 'people' who 'keep using' the join date to "prove something", but in this specific case, it was showcased as a possible explanation why someone might be so willing to do a forward 4 1/2 somersaults in the tuck position dive into the pool of conflict, contention and misery, based on a somewhat less than complete knowledge of past events -- in their first moments aboard the good ship Big Soccer.

And in classic form for the board, once he landed in the water, the sharks circled, gave him no quarter, and proceeded to bloody the water.

It's why I love this place.

Protests only work in large groups, and organizing the Fort in to such an action only occurs around big, outrageous events like FortGate. There were posts here calling for protests up to a year before FortGate, it actually looked like we were really close to doing it at an LA Galaxy game at one point but nothing came of it. Not buying tickets is my protest.

I don't need to look at the join date to know someone is a moron.

You are right. So right man....

You have inspired me to never go to a game again! and I will sit here forever just waiting for Kraft to listen to us!

I didn't direct that comment at anyone. So, if you have some sort of issue with your own self confidence, you probably shouldn't come on here and whine about it. It doesn't get anything done. A wise man once told me that.

Everyone is right though. It would only work in large numbers and you know what I have thought about it quite a bit. I hope others will keep getting aggressive in the future.

Now this we can agree on. I hope large groups aggressively boycott this piece of shit team.

I didn't hear anything in that about what you are going to do. So please, enlighten me, because "hoping [someone else] will get aggressive" isn't exactly what I meant

You didn't hear, bro? He is filling the stadium with positive vibes, man! He is doing his part. How about you?

I'll work to plan a march. Hell I will do it right on here (despite the fact the revs pr staff hovers over the site). It is better then doing nothing at all.

The other conclusion you could have reached is that maybe everyone else isn't "doing nothing at all"

I am sorry. I just don't really agree that not going to games matters. Nothing will change by doing that.
