    It doesn't seem turbulent to me at all. Everyone is in control of their own destiny.

    I hate that phrase. By definition, no one can control their own destiny. If you are destined to do something, it happens regardless of your actions.

    Although one definition according to dictionary.com is something that is to happen or has happened to a particular person or thing; lot or fortune.

    Based on that, one could control their own destiny as one could select their destination when booking a trip.
