Never dull, is it? Not out of this by any means, if they press we can catch them on the break with our speed. But it requires the defence to hold out and that is not exactly our strength.
Speaking of lacking fire in the belly for this one, yep. I was unaware that this was on tap until Friday sometime. I immediately jumped to about a 6 on the excitement scale. That means, I'll be sure to get up and watch it live rather than watch the recording later in the day. By game time I was more like a 7 or 8... after the goal I was at 9... after the horrid tackle by Adebayor I was back down to 6.. after the three Arse goals... my daughter wants to make a monster with her Zolo construction set... cool!
I can take losing but I can't take quitting. These guys look like they aren't trying anymore. There is no desire to win every tackle, win the ball back or stay disciplined.
It's always this fixture, isn't it? We always roll over for them. Gallas has cost us enough goals. Dawson needs to be playing. Now they have a cushion, they won't need to press so much so our chances of scoring again are low with 10 men. Smart move not to go to the pub...
well, i belive i'm going to salvage a bit of this morning and make myself some halftime waffles. with peanutbutter. gettin' giddy now!
How it is that we are still somewhat in this game is incredible. Defoe just swung and missed at a chance to pull us to 4-3.
Maybe I should amend my earlier comment. There were times in this game where Spurs looked dangerous. Not much after Ade decided a meaningless midfield tackle would be a good time to go studs up into an Arsenal player's ankle, but there were times.
yeah ... not at all displeased with how AVB went about it today. actually made a fist of it in the second half, and while it left us wide open (it could've been worse that five, if we're honest) and subject to a fairly humiliating scoreline ... well ... audere est facere, and all that.
The exception that proves the rule? At least when Harry was dropping 5-2 results to Arsenal he was managing more than home draws and losses to the likes of Wigan and West Brom. I’ve seen nothing to suggest we won’t struggle to make a Europa League spot this season.
With 11 men and a better midfield. But yeah, let's sack him and start over again. I'd quite like to see some Championship fixtures next season.
Well you're not going to exactly coax any manager worth his salt to come. Klinsmann in! Seriously though, it's easy to hop on the "AVB Out" train, but at least if you're going to do it, provide us with your alternative, because I'd love to hear it.
i'm not sure if that was for me or not, but i'm certainly not on the "AVB out" train. ... that said, i am pumping away on the "i fucking told you so" hand cart, and i'm starting to build up a head of steam.
