I'm in Woodstock NY for the weekend and FSC is not coming in here. Does anyone know of a pub in the Kingston/Woodstock area that might bwe showing tomorrow's match w/ ManU live? Otherwise i'm at the mercy of the streams. EDIT: Nevermind! I just realized the match is on ESPN2... Phew!!!
Just a heads to to all in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina area: The Triangle Gooners have reorganized and are rebooting the Official Supporters Club right now. Our official match day pub is London Bridge Pub in downtown Raleigh. We may add a location in Durham for some matches...
Congratulations guys. I'm the branch manager of the New Haven Gooners up here in CT. If you guys ever have any questions about running a branch, feel free to hit me up. We've been very successful in carving out our own little niche of the AA community. It's a lot of fun! Cheers, Teague Dwyer
Richmond, VA has a new group of Arsenal supporters, on match days we are always at Gus' Bar & Grill at 2701 West Broad Street http://www.gusbarandgrill.com/ You can find more info from us via Twitter @richmondgooners and at our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/richmondgooners/
I believe that the Arsenal America Supporters Group in Columbus, OH gathers at Fado's Easton, but I find a larger number of Arsenal supporters at the Fourth Street Bar & Grill at 1810 North 4th Street, Columbus, OH 43201. They serve a great breakfast for $5 on Saturday and Sunday mornings and have terrific drink specials. I have not found Fado's to offer any sort of specials. I actually find Fourth Street to be much more of a "soccer bar" than Fado's, especially with it being near Columbus Crew stadium. Highly recommend if you happen to be in the Columbus area.
Going to Atlanta from Columbus, OH to see the NFC Championship game but going here that morning to see Arsenal hopefully beat up on Chelski. Then, going to watch Spurs v. ManUre. Tough to pull for ManU, but it IS Spurs. COYG!!
On Saturday morning, I landed in NYC at 8 o'clock and randomly googled for a place to watch the Blackburn game. The internet pointed me to the Black Pig in Gramercy. And I must say, it was an awesome place to watch us ******** up. If you're ever in New York, I'd truly suggest you check it out.
A number of us were in Fayetteville, AR, for my wedding, which coincided with the Norwich match, so we needed a place to watch. That place ended up being Tanglewood Branch Beer Co. http://tanglewoodbranch.com/ They opened early for us, and I think everyone thought it was a good bar, too. Great beer list, good food, and nice vibe.
Hey fellas, just moved to Miami and need the skinny on the arsenal scene here. The new big soccer makes searching a real pain.
So... I am getting ready to move back to the old stomping grounds of Philadelphia. Of all of the pubs known to carry EPL, which is the best in terms of Arsenal support? Cheers.
I'll be in Santa Monica, CA for the opener and found the Cock n' Bull and Ye Olde Kings Head online as possible spots. Any guidance which one has more Gooner supporters to enjoy the beat down of Villa?
I used to go to Cock n' Bull for midweek games when I lived in the area. If you're up for a bit more of a trek i think the la supporters meet at http://www.thefoxandhounds.com , but don't quote me on that.
Seems dead right now, maybe they'll get going soon. Anyway, when did you move to La Jolla? weren't you in DC before?
They're working on it, I promise. I did, I moved out here about a year ago for a job. Can't wait to move back to the East Coast. Hopefully soon-ish.
Okay, cool. I was out in CA from DC for 3 years--SD for about a year. Just moved back East--if you count Miami as East.
