Reducing charges? That doesn't go far enough. Based on what eye witnesses have said, there should be no charges to answer.

I said I'd fight if it comes to it as much as anyone else, but going around acting like you're hard is stupid. What's wrong with that statement. When have I ever acted like I was a tough guy?

    Re: The Arrests in 133

I dont understand why that's a problem... it's part of supporter culture. FO needs to get it's head out of it's ass

    good luck!

I'll ********ing drink to this. I can not for the life of me stand this shit. I'm a west ham boy, never mind the fact I've been following the team since before Green Street even came out (and for the record I think the movie blows), and still when people find the West Ham reference, then they see the boots and see I'm a skin, then they see me referencing hooliganism, which is usually in a joking matter, and all of a sudden I'm a frodo / green street wanna be? get the ******** out of my face with that shit.

I owe you a beer next time we're catching the hammers.

Clean it up, keep it on topic or I'll be closing this thread as it seems to have run it's course at this point. I am tempted to just close it now but we'll see what happened with the TOPIC of the thread, the arrest.

I work with police every day and a cop once told me that for every ten eyewitness accounts given, only maybe two are worth a shit.

Anyone a cop or a lawyer on this thread?

Well there is supposed to be CCTV Footage of what happened... Big Brother is watching at PPL Park so I can only assume that will prove what happened and who did what in the scrum.

I was thrown out of the Vet in 1998 for booing McGwire. Not cursing, loudly booing. Everyone else was only there to see McGwire and didn't like me booing him. Then again that was before everyone had decided they were lifelong "Phillies" fans. The one saving grace of the night was he was 0-4 with 3 k's. He had 5 homeruns in the other two games of the series.

PM me, I don't know what you're talking about. No one combined any threads as far as I can tell.

no PMs required to be honest. go to the first page of this thread. you'll see quite easily that theyve been merged

See it now. I sent a PM to Dills. It looks like an Illegitimates thread was started already in the RE sub-forum and besides there is no way to un-merge anyhow.

Oh I know what you mean. I was asking why the poster, ModernHypocrites I think, seemed happy with progress if we are talking reduced rather than dismissed charges, as I seem to recall that he saw the incident.

I'm a former police officer, but outa the mid-west....so I'm not to sure how it works on the east coast. But more than likely anything "reduced", will have to be agreed upon by the lawyers, and then the judge. More than likely, if the FO isn't pushing the issue, a Probation Before Judgement (PBJ) will be the ruling. Then its up to the FO if you're let back into the Park.

Well nothing is FINISHED yet... They could end up dropping the charges... but I am happy that they are at least looking at reducing charges as they guys were initially slapped with some pretty serious stuff. I did see the incident and believe that all parties should have been REMOVED from PPL Park, but I didn't think anyone deserved to go to jail. I think the Fire Supporter only ended up with a fine.

The guys involved are happy with the progress thus far and if they are happy... I am happy.

@ModernHypocrites - thanks for clarifying that. Hopefully some sanity will prevail and a bit of handbags after a few pints won't end up getting blown up out of all proportion.

    Re: The Arrests in 133

I clicked on this thread to find out what happened during the Chicago game. Especially after seeing - Arrests in 133. With the 2 threads being merged it's just a mess. Could someone tell me what happened or point to the page where it's explained. The only thing I saw was about charges being reduced, no info on the actual incident. I sit in 129 and noticed some commotion at one point but never knew what actually went on.

Ok, I just took 25 mins (almost entire prep period, now I have to get ready for Amer Lit with Jefferson and Thomas Paine) manually unmerging the 210+ posts from the Arrests thread from the Call All...Illegitimates thread. It is as cleaned up as I can make it without spending more time.

Not related in the slightest? The "attention" thread had devolved into a discussion about the arrests and, by golly, there was already an arrest thread going on. Why have the same discussion going on in multiple locations?

so two whole threads were merged on it? the attention thread had the talk of arrests at the ass end of the thread, so they should have been moved into this one. the whole thing though? unnecessary imo. though it's not a big deal, it was just kind of a wtf moment for me, as I noticed the thread had doubled in size in only a few hours. I was a bit confused
