Zabaleta is a very low key type of player, I mean you don't see him tumbling out of nightclubs at 4:30 in the morning on the eve of a big game and you don't read about him in the tabloids with some page 3 stunna. Just gets on with his ob and seems to appreciate that he is very lucky to be doing what he does for a living and getting paid a fortune. He also, this season, seems to have curbed his reckless and, quite frankly nasty, tackling that caused him all kinds of disciplinary problems in previous seasons. What Aguero has achieved in his first season at Man City is incredible, 30 goals in all competitions and 24 in the league. When you consider all the bed wetting praise that was written about Hernandez last season and compare that the lack of praise Aguero has received it is quite galling. Still, he had the last laugh.

Kun is still under the radar, City will gradually find new fans just like Chelsea did and his popularity will continue to grow. It's his NT jersey I wear, my favorite player on the selección, just goes out there and does his job. He will continue to get better and score more goals and hope he stays in England, there is no point of him moving, and him scoring that goal probably make him a bit untouchable. I don't know how much money Real Madrid can push towards, I think City probably has more. I hope Diego does not try to push him towards a move back to Spain(You know, the crazy father-in-law advice).

As for the commentating, I watched the game on ESPN here in the US, it was Ian Drake and Steve McManaman. After Aguero's goal, Ian Drake was going on and on about somebody is writing the script, then McManaman is like Ohhhhh Myyyyy God(his voice totally gone, it was a bit funny). I am guessing he was rooting for City.

Only four non British players have ever won the award. Besides I wouldn't read too much in to it, while technically by age he was eligible, his experience and pedigree imho over qualify him for this award. The fact that I had to google Kyle Walker should pretty put to rest the prestige of this award.

    #9

    Sergio Aguero

The 23-year-old Argentine international has scored 23 goals in his debut season in Premier League (30 in all competition) and has also made eight assists helping contribute 0.91 goals per game to his team.

Dangerous stat: Aguero has scored 23 league goals this term from just 52 shots on target, meaning one in every two shots he has on goal will find the back of the net. (Despite some critics saying he's not clinical enough)

    #3

    Gonzalo Higuain

Higuain has scored 22 league goals this season. He's done it from just 18 starts, and 1,712 minutes of playing time, meaning he scores a goal once every 77 minutes.
In contrast, the player below him on this list, Zlatan Ibrahmovic, scores a goal once every 97 minutes.
Not only that, but Higuain has scored 22 league goals from just 60 shots, or 1.7 a game, a significantly lower shot total than any other player in Europe who has scored the same or a higher amount of goals than him.
Dangerous stat: With 22 goals and nine assists in La Liga, Gonzalo Higuain has contributed a goal to his team at a rate of 1.72 goals per start.

    #1

    Lionel Messi

Dangerous stat: With his 72 goals and 28 assists, Messi has contributed 100 goals to Barca just this season alone.

10 to 1 says the ManUre supporters still believe his leaving was a positive for their club. For all the bullshit Carlitos brings, he seems to be a bit of a good luck charm to his clubs. At least one league title with four different clubs and that doesn't even include cups. In his ten games post return he contributed four goals and four assists. Coincidentally the goal difference between Citeh and Utd.

Tevez trolling the Manure fans is priceless.

As for that list above there's no way Higuain should be #3. RVP, Ibrahimovic, and Falcao who wasn't even included should be ahead of him.

It's amazing that Higuain has scored 22 goals, the impression is that he has been a bit part player for RM this season, but yet again he scored 20 plus goals (I think he has scored more than Benzema in the league) despite being a sub for a lot of games. Higuain is loved by the RM fans but Perez has been looking for an excuse to get rid of him for years and years.

As for the Tevez/placard business, Man Utd fans should get a life and a sense of humour.

Is it really? Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Higuain but playing for Madrid and playing in La Liga isn't really much of a challenge is it?

Ar you working for Sky Moishe ? The same argument's were levelled against the likes of Silva, Mata and Aguero prior to them playing in the EPL which is obviously a tougher league and far better technically.

Suffice it to say the prime accusation was that La Liga is soft. Well these player's have had no trouble adapting and neither have the likes of Colocinni, Jonas, Enrique to say nothing of several others.

Higuain can score in any league. His talents which are not confined to solely scoring, deserve a better stage than Real Madrid where he run's second fiddle to Benzema and Perez's galacticos who even in the form of Cristina , try to rob him of goals.

A move to a club with potential seleccion team mates would be best for the seleccion.

Well, it can't be that tough playing in the EPL either then, if Aguero can waltz in and score 30 goals (23 in the league) in his first season, despite us being told by Sky (about every 25.3 seconds) that the EPL is the bestest league in the history of the world ever, ever, ever, without a shadow of a doubt, despite Man City and Man Utd failing to get out of the group stage of the Champions League and getting knocked out of the Europa League. ;)

Ibra is overrated player and never delivers anything spectacular other than scoring in serie A

The article writter mentioned the playing minutes of the player, so he does have a point whether its valid or not

That's also what I used to think but I think we have to admit this time, Barcelona has been the best team for many years and Real madrid has megastars squad so they naturally dominated the la liga... Madrid was CL semifinalist in past 2 seasons, Barca has been 3 x champions, 3 x semifinalist.

Clubs likeAtletico madrid and Valencia will sell their best player instead of adding more muscle to the team. I predict Falcao to move somewhere else soon.

Pastore trying to recruit Lavezzi and Pipita. That would be a nice trio in a single team.

Yaya Toure is another player who went from La Liga to EPL and dominated. Fernando Torres scored much more in EPL than La Liga before his recent dry spell.

    Higuain would score plenty there.

From time to time, over the years, I can stomach an EPL match. For the life of me, I never understood this supposed superiority of the EPL overall, or its reputation for good defense. Sure, refs do let defenders get away with much more, but actual defensive skills, I could never really pinpoint an appreciable difference between the EPL and la Ligua. I always chalked it up to a lack of sophistication on my part.
It's interesting though that Torres' scoring rate took a MAJOR boost once he got to Liverpool. Coloccini
could never dream of making la Ligua best XI, yet he moves to England and is among the best defenders, with supposedly higher defensive standards. It seems a bit counter-intuitive to me. And the notion that Higuain would struggle in the EPL is utterly laughable. He might have some adjustment problems, but I will bet anything that it won't be purely footballing issues.
