Wow - it was actually one of my favorite episodes. Cyril being an awesome secret agent, Krieger dosing Pam, Ray and Carol, Archer being a drunken ass, some light racism... pretty much everything I want from an Archer episode.
I'm glad they keep on acknowledging "Cheryl the millionaire" as a plot construct. In that light, yay on the ocelot's return (and Archer's reaction to it).
That was a terrific episode from start to finish, that used all of its characters in roles that fit with their personalities and background. Krieger was epic. Even the little things (like Archer's craving for Italian food suddenly taking on a whole new meaning) were spot on. Is there a sharper and smarter comedy show on TV right now? I guess it's between Archer and Community, but I find Archer more consistently brilliant. Long may it last.
I found out right at the beginning that Aisha Taylor does Lana's voice. And, sick as it may be, I have an enormous and purely sexual crush on Lana. A cartoon character. Jesus, what a 2 dimensional rack. Don't tell my wife.
I was just at work on Wednesday talking about how I would definitely ******** Lana or Aisha. I don't expect I will have a job much longer.
You're about two rungs removed from lusting over Bugs Bunny in drag. BTW, as a kid you never truly notice how often that was used in those WB cartoons.
I don't get this. All Lana does is complain. Maybe justifiably, but still. I'm all about Pam. She is an accomplished street fighter and drift racer with an early 70's RX-2. She's sarcastic, easy going, and low maintenance. I would let her do awful things to me. Awful, awful things.
One time with Lana would be worth the complaints... ... I know what I typed. I understand where you're coming from with Pam (although I would never publicly admit anything if it were presented to me). There's no guarantee I would even survive an encounter with Pam. I'd go for Cheryl and Judy Greer perhaps or money alone and maybe some time with an ocelot. Also, she's more attractive and might let me choke her.
Likely she would oblige with not too much fuss. I think Cheryl and Pam are supposed to be a package deal! And this thread took a turn that is equal parts disturbing and hilarious.
...and Krylon-master level graffiti artist. ...and taser-glove bum fighter. "Hellooooo game changer." PS: Shut up. Food.
I think I'm going to have to consider this the best TV show on right now, by some margin. I preferred last week's episode but this week was still pretty good. I like how Ray has grown from a very minor character into one of the funniest on the show.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmeh7EHpIE0"]Archer - Behind The Scenes - The Voice Of Pam - Season 1 Extras - YouTube[/ame] The actress who does her voice seems pretty cool as well.
Any characters Adam Reed voices have some of the funniest lines ever. It's his voice that has that perfect blend of immature and insanity. Check out Frisky Dingo, he voices the main character Xander Crewes. It's a lot more fast paced than Archer (Due to the episodes being 11 minutes) but it has that same kind of humor. You can go through both seasons in 4 hours and I'd highly recommend it.
As I've said many times in this forum over many years: Big Soccer Rules the Universe. Once again, we tell the world what the world wants to know and knows in its collective heart what it already knows it knows--only sooner and smarterer. PS: "Pushin' rope?" Certainly needs no explanation, but is that a common term or simply yet another piece of brilliant Archer invention? PPS: I'm thinking there should be an Annoted Archer site emerging soon. There's lots o' references that I'm sure I'm missing. For example, when Pam [!] is throwing waffles at the stripper [beyond hilarious in its own right] she says "I feel like Pacman Jones" I think? Is that a reference to a football player? Again, there's too many of these to count, but it would be nice to have an authoritative compendium.
It's a reference to Pacman Jones' strip club incident. Incidentally, I know next to nothing about the NFL but I did get that reference. I guess it says more about me than it does about the NFL...
