Whoa...what happened to the margins? Is everything going to be centered? Also, I have gotten more "error" msgs than not when trying to post.
Threads have gone missing. For example, the one about the Octavos for the Copa Libertadores. Half of my subscribed threads are not there any more.
I think I can figure everything else out, but two things are bugging me that hopefully I can get help with: 1) How does moderating work? Doesn't look like I can edit, infract or sticky anything. And I don't see the moderator only forums at all. Is the transfer of that merely delayed? 2) I used "My BigSoccer" as my bookmarked page. I did so because I had subscribed forums (not threads) that were the only ones I visited. If this feature is gone, please, please, please bring it back. It made navigation so simple and easy. Forum jump pales in comparison--it's not even close. I could instantly see if there was new activity in the forums I regularly visit, rather than jumping in and out of them individually.
I hope the color scheme changes. I'm finding it very difficult to quickly hone in on the text in each post. I also would prefer more definition between posts. The very thin blue line just isn't an effective border. Also the colors used are hurting my eyes...not sure if it's my vision or what but the massive white spaces are too much. Is there a way to make the "go to next unread" button that is next to threads bigger?
Me too...My Bigsoccer was my book marked page. So easy to navigate and everything right there on my fingertips. C'mon, guys...what is your obsession with facebook anyway?
Some people between this post and my last one should re-read my last post. Be patient...stuff is still landing.
Amen. I switched years and years ago and I've found it some much easier to navigate that way. Then again, if BigSoccer is switching to a thread-based format (watched threads) as opposed to a forum-based format (MyBigSoccer), then maybe it doesn't matter as much. I think the biggest thing they need to do is make it easier for people to watch/bookmark/whatever the forums they prefer.
I. DO. NOT. WANT. MY. ENTIRE. FREAKING. EXISTENCE. CROSSLINKED THROUGH FACEBOOK. That blows rancid syphilitic goats.
I think most folks understand this. Then again, I think most folks would've thought all the doo-dads would've been figured out on the beta site and been in place before the changeover. As a software engineer, I think moving the content, then working out the form and function later is backwards. I think Mike is a little over the top, but you have to admit that first impressions do matter and pissing off or confusing most of your customer base probably isn't the best way to implement major change like this. Getting the customizations in place and working on the beta site would seem to have made sense, then they would've been in place during the database transition. But if there's one thing facebook has taught us. All change is bad and evil, except that - in the end - most people adapt and get on with things.
Can somebody tell me how to make the newest post appear as the first in the thread. I is not smart, can no figure out.
