I'm sure it will be dreadful. And even if it isn't, I'm sure I'll say it is.

What are you talking about? Haven't you been reading the "Huss's sockpuppet thread"? Personally, I think it is Jekyll/Hyde.

But but but, that means us Serie A fans will most likely be unable to discuss the midweek games. /whineyEPLfansrant

Anywho, it's all good. Hope it goes well.

People seriously need a forum to watch the game? streams are easy to find and enjoy the match without being distracted by other posters

looking forward to seeing the changes

I don't think it's about the pirate feeds so much, but people do like to comment before, during, and after the game.

The game is on ESPN, ESPN3 (aka WatchESPN), and ESPN Deportes, so it's not terribly tricky to find it. Any TV plugged into cable or satellite should have it.

Back in 99, they were down at least one weekend per month, plus every MLS draft, plus the occasional random time it seems.

You guys can't shut this down tonight, tonight we have hugely important Liberators Cup games to discuss. Much more important than that domestic league match from yesterday.

Delay the shutdown until the games have finished.

I am still kinda sad about losing all of the 2002 World Cup threads and the BSSM from 9/11/01.

Exactly. We had posts from the friggin' 90s that we lost. :( I know there were posts from 1999, and I'm sure a few forums had posts from 1998.

The "Turn your TV on now!!!!!!!" thread (or whatever it was titled) regarding 9/11/01 was just surreal.

And, of course, there was a thread talking about a certain BSSM gathering in Seattle... :D (At least, I think that's where the "Ornithological incident" took place.)

I'm still ashamed that AFL and I didn't take care of Flannigan once and for all that day.

And there was *an* ornithological incident in Seattle, but the phrase actually originated with the NYC plane crash of 11/12/01. This crash was only two months after 9/11, and commentators on TV were saying that the crash was caused by a bird strike. My response was......well, you know what my response was.

(Turns out that the crash wasn't caused by a bird strike, but it wasn't terrorism either.)

((My apologies to the Mods for hijacking this thread.))
