Elia should've done better. That was a bad cross on a decent scoring opportunity. Needs to lower that cross to find Di santo in the middle.
The referee must be more severe with "the village", now that Werder gets better into the match these Hillibillies start playing dirty.

Elia is such a dummkopf sometimes. On the counter attack and he just sends an improbable long ball straight ahead, not even considering a more logical dribble or pass play.
Nice counter attack by Werder, Hunt with a class turn move. TGS wins the corner. 2-1 Werder! Garcia connects with the header.
I'll never fully understand Elia. There's moments where he'll impress with his skills. Other times, he'll let his impetuousness lead to poor judgements. He needs to cut down on the tendencies to make audacious Hollywood plays, and focus on more realistic solutions. But some things don't change, and that will always be part of his mentality. Great elevation by Garcia on that header. Very well taken.
