Unfortunately it looks like Metapan will regress to the Metapan of old that will be lucky to come away with 2 points in the CCL even the Islanders could run up the score on this Metapan side. If Metapan had any type of defense maybe they would be able to do something but Mondragon is to short to be a goalie and Pacheco is the only good defender they have.
Guess all hopes ride on FAS then, it also doesn't help Metapan that LA Galaxy are starting to get back into form and with Omar Gonzalez coming back it would solidify the defense. They could have gone a bit younger on the squad IMO.
Overreacting. Metapan is notorious for starting slow and picking up steam during a season. They also have great young talent in their farm system if you will ensuring they will remain a good franchise for a while longer.
Santa Tecla2-2 Metapan They actually got off to good starts the last two season their first game in the 2012 Clausura they destroyed Aguila 4-0. Metapan isn't struggling due to a poor start they are struggling because they have no defense they really need Escobar and a goalie but they won't be getting either this season. The only way Metapan will get results this season is by scoring often because they won't be shutting out to many teams

Fas 0-0 UES FT Aguila 0-3 Alianza FT I know a lot of people will blame Aguila's players but Aguilas front office doesn't prepare them well for the season. They will now have to spend the first part of the season trying to get into rhythm like last season when that should be done before the season. Of course unlike last season Aguila will be playing Santos and that could potentially be bad for the young guys confidence especially Benji.

Its going to be very interesting how Alianza lines up when Fito comes back. The only thing bad about Alianza having a strong run is Pohl stays in and seeing how he is handling Burgos's transfer that is terrible news. Henry Hernandez looked awful in Metapans game against Comunicaciones. Mondragon would easily be better then him if he had any height or could jump. You would think after the 8 Pumas put on Metapan they would have made defense and goalie a priority but the only thing they did was try to sign Esnal. Aquino turned into an old man fast
So true, you would figure the D would have been a priority in off season, no upgrades there most likely same results in CCL
And they might loose Dennis Alas. Its a shame because I wanted to see what Kiko could do as a coach but with the squad he was given I doubt he will last long since the club presidents always think a coaching change will solve all their problems.
