I'd rather we win as the last 2 years of football has soured my taste on merely outplaying teams. Here's hoping for an undeserved ugly win.

As always, I'm in and don't remember any lost matches at the kick off.

Always hate those terms, deserved and undeserved. The team that "Deserves to win" is the team that scores the most goals, simple!

No Cole. Ever. I think I'd like to see Pacheco in this one at some point either as a starter or on the bench.

Oh, yeah! Him! Yes, much better. I couldn't think of anyone else at the time so it fell to cole. I didn't want to do it.

Haha, I was gonna throw Jovanovic in there too but I considered Robbie Keane to be the bigger disappointment. I'll also admit that putting Kyrgiakos in there isn't really fair either, he was very solid for us, but he fit the theme of being very, very slow.

Before we signed him we finished 4th, the last day he started a game we were TOP of the league, we finished 2nd that season, then 7th, 6th and 8th the seasons after. 7 goals and 5 assists in half a season from a player not in his preferred position looks pretty fantastic right now, and the only game we lost while he played for us was Spurs 2-1(in which we were winning 1-0 and only conceded after he was subbed in the 65th minute). We recouped most of our money from him and didn't have to pay him off to leave.

If 5 months isn't enough to judge a new manager I'm not sure why it was a player.

I'm not sure if you watched the last match <sarcasm> but the football Rogers had them playing in this match was bloody excellent. That first 12 minutes was some of the best stuff I'd seen any team play this year.
He's playing with the hand he has and what I said about the outcome after I watched those first 12 "Scoreless" minutes. "Predictable" still goes. Not getting a goal scorer wasn't his fault and that's exactly what he/we need. (Not getting the goal scorer we needed = not getting the goals scored we need.)
We missed chances that any recognized striker would have tucked away. Luis is trying to make and score. A 17 year old was close as was a big bald 21 year old, but it didn't happen.

Naw....lets get rid of Rogers and get a good old boy like Big Sam, he playes the game the way we played it before Shankley. That's what you guys want isn't it....:)

(Not getting the goal scorer we needed = not getting the goals scored we need.) Hey, that's brilliant....

I'm making the point that 5 months was not long enough to judge Keane, so I'm not sure were you are getting that I want Rodgers fired. Unless, Kenny was to walk back in it would be a pointless and expensive decision.

There is a clear difference between wanting him canned and having a critical opinion. Love his confidence in youth, mildly dislike his treatment of Kenny's signings as all it does is lower their value(detrimental to himself). If my posts seem a little sore at times then its probably because I'm a huge Kenny fan and still a little(or maybe a lot :p) bitter at how he was treated.

We are playing some decent football, although I'd argue that last season we were playing some great football too-if a little direct for some tastes. His refusal to even contemplate having a 'plan B' is always going to be a gripe as only Billionaire owners will make success this way a reality.

He'll remain manager as long as he finishes in the top7, this season, and continues to support the youth of the club.

Thought I read Rogers in the last quote..:)
Boring morning, just having some fun.
I liked Keane a lot as a young un, really inovative. I don't feel he got a lot better with age though.
    Now Ireland have dropped him.

He is 32 ya'know :p. Robbie was never the greatest but after he left us he played a part in saving Spurs from the drop winning the league cup and nicking our CL place the next season. Last winter he was on loan at Villa and got one less goal in 6 games than Carroll did for the season in the league.
