The match ended 2:2, though Aron had a couple of spectacular misses against 10 man Roda JC.

Despite scoring a goal today, Aron hasn't had a very good stretch of games. He missed a sitter at the end of the game to secure 3 points, missed two penalties, and had this embarrassing miss the other day.

Hopefully he gets it together soon.

Yeah, I noticed that too. He is starting to play like Jozy....needing too many chances to score. I hope he snaps out of it soon.

Incredible awkward. The defender is lucky he didn't get slugged.

After today's goal, here's what the Eredivisie scoring chart looks like for the season.

    1. Finnbogason (Heerenveen) - 25 (9 PKs)
    2. Pelle (Feyenoord) - 22 (2 PKs)
    3. Johannsson (AZ Alkmaar) - 17 (4 PKs)
    4. Castaignos (Twente) - 14
    5. Higdon (NEC Nijmegen) - 14 (2 PKs)

With three games left in the season, AJ is probably going to finish the season 3rd in goals. Finnboason is probably going to finish first, but many of his goals have been PK's. Pelle comes out on top when you discount PK's.

Aron also gets credited with the assist on the first AZ goal. The ball hits off his thigh and goes straight to Henriksen who scores.

bad run of games or not, i think what this video is evidence of is aron knows not only what spot to be in the give himself and his team the best chance, but he knows the angle as well. i don't think you see most forwards in out pool making that kind of zig-zagging run. most would just run straight forward or maybe at an angle too close or too far from the wing.

his movement is really quite excellent and hopefully he can shake off this little misses. at this point i'd give him the nod over jozy.

Very good point. Yeah that's something I've noticed as well..his offball movement seems to have a bit more variety in terms of angles and spacing compared to Jozy.

    Jozy should have taken PK's.

  16. Aron now has a streak of about 6 matches that he was sub par in performance. Is he too tired?

Could be a little bit of it, and yeah he missed an easy shot but he also scored a very nice goal and had an assist...I also thought he played very well versus Benefica despite the miss

We used to do that with an English mastiff! I guess you need less horsepower pulling you if you only weigh 140!
