Angel Uribe at Dorados de Sinaloa (on loan from Club Tijuana)

Uribe scored the only goal today, as TJ's U15s kicked off their annual winter tournament with a 1-0 win.

So Uribe made three starts with Xolos U-17 this year before moving up to the U-20s. He's made six starts at that level and tonight is on the bench for Copa MX. He seems to be a quick riser.

Registered with Tijuana U20s this season. He's still eligible for the U17s, but I think he's probably done with that level.

No appearances at any level for Uribe in the Apertura. I suspect he's injured given that he's a guy who has YNT involvement, who has consistently played up in age groups, and who even made the bench for a first team cup game last season.

 

He's reappeared with the U20s and made an appearance off the bench in yesterday's game, replacing fellow Tijuanamerican Antonio Nava.

Uribe was part of the US U-20 squad at the combined camp that was just held.

He returned from the camp to go the distance for the Club Tijuana Liga Premier team in a 5-1 win over Deportivo Tepic today.

During the Clausura he made 16 starts for the U-20s and a 3 minute substitute appearance with the Liga Premier team.

Uribe's LigaMX page currently has him as unregistered, which is common during the offseason, but his Instagram already indicates he's with Dorados in Ascenso MX, likely on loan from Xolos. So we might see a professional debut from him soon. He's been a regular callup to the US U20s, playing RB and CB.

The ball looks like it just goes over Uribe's head on the cross from the free kick leading to the first goal. He unsuccessfully tries the offside trap leading to an open header for his man on the chance at 1:17 in the video. On the third Club America goal Angel is stuck attempting to defend a 2 on 1.

For the Clausura he's returned to Xolos and was on the bench for Copa MX last month. Otherwise, he's been playing for their U20s, with one goal.
