As there are some reports that he might join Red Bull Salzburg to gather momentum again I would like to know what you know about and think of him. I remember him playing at Inter but when Mancini came he was rejected. What happened to him, he was once a good player but now you dont hear of him anymore!? Does he have no fun playing football anymore? Do you think he would go to Austria (Perhaps to gain self-confidence)? Please give me some information and/or your oppinion. Thanks.

He moved to Everton were he has hardly featured amid rumors of heavy drinking and if I recall correctly issues of depression. Moyes almost through him out of the squad for missing training and not acting professional. i.e, drinking.
I doubt he'll leave. His daughter is sick and he doesn't want to move to another country or City. Once she is better I'm sure he'll move on.
Do you have some source for this rumour? v.d. Meyde must be a sad and thin-skinned person. Perhaps Adriaanse could help him back on track again? Salzburg also has got his countrymen Nelisse and Opdam now.
