Andres was on Swedish TV the other night. It was a program about parents and how they might push kids too hard. It was a whole lot of fanatic parents and their kids (different sports, nobody remotely famous), and then it was Andres and his dad. His dad seems to be quite involved in his career. It seemed to have been a problem at Göteborg, they had people in the club commenting on it. All parties, famous or not famous participated so it wasn't a gossiping program but a documentary.

I was a bit surprised about his history on the team as well. Minus the Maradona goal (which was selected best goal of the year in the league), he has been doing quite poorly in Allsvenskan. He saw Göteborg playing for the title from the TV in his home, wasn't even on the bench and played on Göteborgs B-team.

When people in this thread were going wild and talking about national teams (yes I understand a bit of Spanish), not for a second would I have thought that Andres could compete with Elmander or Zlatan but that's a big gap still.

He does seem to be a very very nice chap though and I wish him all the best. Hope he develops well in Zurich.

Vasquez started today but had to come off early in the game because their goalie was ejected in the 5'. Next week is the derby FC Zurich plays Cruzado's GC.

Indeed, though the beautiful game wouldn't be the same without passion.

Just giving my own take as I saw it from the start. He scored a beautiful goal but 1 beautiful goal is lightyears away from the NT.

    FC Zurich 1-0 Grasshoppers

Rinaldo started for GC, was subbed in the 77'. Vasquez was on the bench but subbed Djuric after eight minutes in the first half. Got a yellow card in the 16'.

He's about to be called up to for Sweden U21 team, this is why he said no to the Peru call up.

I agree with Visca, ******** him and close this thread already.

Nothing to get, if they need him in the future, and both parties agree, he'll play. Noone has excluded anyone out yet. Or has he said he wont play for Peru, or Peru said they wont call him anymore? He needs to look out for number 1 first.
