They will start him the champions league I'm sure...but yeah the few times I watched them last year they were a very left sided team and used alba allot which Guardado was basically brought in to replace...Guardado has done nothing this year club wise which is very disappointing,,, I've always preferred him in more of a cm roll...Guardado at winger has never really impressed me that much he isn't consistent enough.
Jordi Alba. (With Mathieu behind him) Guardado will find it very hard to get into the team for me, Jonathan Viera who is the other left-sided player at Valencia, and he has shown significantly more than Guardado. Viera's been a constant danger in the games he has started.
He's having a very good game. It shows how he's starting to adapt to the rest of his teammates. Too bad about that chance he sent wide.
I'm referring only to his 2012 form. Though, to be fair, didn't he command such a cross to Chicharito against Guyana? Hyperbole aside, great for him to start getting better acclimated with Valencia.
