Pedro and Tello are wingers molded in the Barca system and they are very good 1v1, something Andres is only decent at.

No, he wouldn't beat out Adriano or Pedro for minutes at Barca and Tello is a very good young prospect.

It's all moot since Guardado is a very good player but not Barca quality IMO.

ehh, you folks are probably right. I wouldn't give up on the odds of such a move though. Keita and Abidal are in the twilight of their careers and Guardado has the versatility to fill into their roles as well. And with Pep's tendency to change tactics on the fly.

Yer probably right on it being moot. Since, only Guardiola would know if such a move would happen.

I agree about Guardado's versatility being a plus if Barca were actively looking to sign him but he would end up in a situation similar to that of Maxwell.

Guardado fits in pretty nicely at Valencia but he is not a guaranteed starter by any means. He will be fighting for minutes with Piatti who is a very, very good player.

Piatta is more of a forward, isn't he?

    Guardado starts at Valencia- easily

I think he'd be a decent fit for Barca as a LB. Hes just a good a defender as Alves, has the type of engine that Barca players need to have, he's an excellent passer, and offers a legitimate threat from distance. His size would probably be a huge turnoff though.

I hope he makes the move to Valencia.
