lol, he thought quick. Have you seen THE Bergkamp goal? any of a dozen or so Berbatov goals? That backheel volley from the edge of the box that I just posted? Don't get me wrong. Zlatan's strike was beautiful, but I don't think it was genius.
funny i think the backheel you posted was beautiful but it wasnt genius (not sure if you are saying it is though, but if yo uare we are judging on the exact opposite crtieria) Berbs doesnt count - most of the time he is not playing anyway. he pops us with moments of magic and then go in hibernation /sarcasm/ yes, Bergy is just amazing. i keep wondering if he menat ot do that..........
You extolled the qualities of Zlat's goal because he had to think quickly. Do you think that backheel required no thought? He reacted to the cross faster than everyone, curled his run and then made the only imaginable contact that could get the ball on target without attempting to control the ball. Oh and it beat the keeper who was in perfect position, not with power, but with placement. Oh, he never checked the location of the goal. For sheer computation, it was magnitudes more complex than Zlatan's.
All these goals you mention, and you wont even mention Scholes? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=LEBuxDDBRtU#t=5s I know its "just a volley" but ..
i have to watch it again. But at this very moment i think the backheel was instinct. i see you coming to throw a punch, I run. requires no thought. but if i see you coming to throw a punch and i convince you to punch Vince instead then that requires thought and cunning. Hart thought he had to head the ball and thought he could head it safely where he did. He was out-Zlatan'd.
Nah, either I did or it got lost when I tried to edit a post. Scholes has 2 or 3 volleys that were absolutely pure technique.
I'd rather enjoy Rangers saying ******** off to the SPL and joining the bottom tiers of English Football.
@WombRaider91 Santi Cazorla and Juan Mata both saved their first club, Real Oviedo, today. Both donated €700,000 each to pay off €1.5m debt.
Same old Arsenal I know it gets said (and somehow backfires) every season, but they really are losing grip on that 4th spot, I can't remember a season where it's seemed more up for grabs than this.
Adebayor doing his bit to have AVB sacked with a stupid red card. Just plain stupid you can't go in like that with two feet of the ground studs up, The ball was there to be won but he didn't really even need to make a challenge. Tottenham letting Arsenal off the hook by going down to 10 men only 18 minutes in.
That wasn't a challenge for the ball at all. He was trying to hurt someone. I don't know why he did it, but he did.
Merte with a really good header, Arsenal will run away with this now Tottenham have proved many matches that they can't defend for long periods and being a man down with so long to go they're going to be up against it.
Arsenal just need to score one and then they can play it cool, Tottenham just have no focus now and without their normal extra man in midfield they just look dull. And there's the goal, Podolski with a scrappy one. VdV should really have been kept hold of, Bale isn't a good enough player to dictate the whole attack of a side.
I really dislike the English disdain with their attitude towards "The Continental style" of goal keeping. Completely ignoring that the best of british Goal Keepers for over a decade made an absolute cock up in mid week and that the majority of British Keepers are shocking shot stoppers.
