I wanted to eat crow and give this one to Spinman, with the caveat that Tovar didn't sign in Syracuse because Anaheim wasn't paying him. To the contrary, Tovar recently recruited four of his San Jose teammates to join the Bolts. The Bolts will miss him, but it would take an elaborate series of miracles for them to make the playoffs this season.
Overall it's actually been the other way around. Tovar, after all came to the PASL from the MISL. It's nice to see two former PASL players - Jeff Hughes and Brayton Knapp - have won MISL Defensive Player of the Month.
No need to eat crow. I do think it is Naive to think both Jeff and Tovar are in Syracuse vs Sunny California if it were not for financial stability. Funny part about the whole deal is Syracuse has no issue scoring, they are a mess on defense. I witnessed the debacle at IEC against the Comets. They should be looking to sign defenders, not forwards. I think Anahiem's issues relate to Bernie being involved in too many aspects of the organization. Putting people in seats (not good) and getting media coverage (which they are great at) should be more important than coaching/playing. I would like to say that the Sockers are doing a great job this year on and off the field, they should have a higher attendance and talking with people around the club they feel so as well. My opinion (not worth anything) is they should be around 3,500 a game with all the marketing and PR they are doing not to mention the product they put on the field is great vs the 2,000+ that are coming out.
Does that include bonuses for helping roll out the carpet and install the dasherboards? (Still no glass in the corners!)
