When I grew up, there weren't the million and one card games for kids that there are today (other than what you could play with a deck of Bicycle cards). But I've got a boy who likes to play games, and I was thinking maybe some card game would appeal to him one of these days. I had never heard of Anachronism before seeing an ad tonight on the History Channel, and I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with it. Is it any good? At least it's got a historical aspect to it. Your opinions are appreciated. Thanks.

Norsk: There is an official Society: Creative Anachronism that monitors these games; card games being one of their reenacting activities... they have a big following.

Thanks, but that's a different group. Those are people who dress up in medeival clothes and such. The Anachronism game is simply one of those types of games where kids sit across from each other at a table and play with whatever special cards they've collected. You see gatherings of them sometimes in toy stores at malls and such (as opposed to the Creative Anachronism people, who you see at Renaissance Fairs).
