And yet, nobody else had 3 goals and 2 assists in that game.

Hard to say when any American ever has had a game like that.
    He was awesome.
If this is LD sucking, we need more players like that. ;)

Would you say that the future of the USMNT in midfield are players like Luis Silva and Graham Zusi? These players have shown that you do not have to be GA or leave college early to be world class, they were rookies at 23 and have much more talent than Luis Gil will ever have at that age. Perhaps college is the way to go and players should not stay early, this is where we will build our midfield from for the USMNT.

Gil is more the future than either. You're completely wrong about those two having much more talent than Gil will ever have.

I don't think you know how to evaluate talent. On talent alone Gil might be the most technically sound player at 18 since Landon. There's a reason Arsenal wanted him.

Yeah, no. None of this is right. Gil is miles more talented than those two combined.

Bradley, Williams, Corona(plays quite a bit on the flanks for Tijuana), and Torres are 25 or under. They are the future. And the present. Zusi at 26 is competing with these regulars and with veterans like Donovan, Dempsey, Jones, and Eddie Johnson rather than against a teenager like Gil or even a Luis Silva.

I'd rather bank on an immensely talented guy learning to put it all together than a subtalented guy who has learned to put it all together.

    Hi,
for people - who do not know me (cause I have not posted so much in last months) - I have been
Landon fan since 2002, world cup...when he had a great game..and when USA was eliminated in quarter-final against GERMANY...and when you did beat Portugal...it was good year for Landon..
many things have changed since this time.

"my" Landon was in Leverkusen, Bayer...and later at Bayern Munich...
i also saw him in Leverkusen, in stadium...:)....Landon is allergic against Germany: it is too cold and
he missed America:).....in Leverkusen he tried it twice....without any big success..in Munich as well..
but still he played in best German team Bayern and one of the best in Bayer Leverkusen...

so I have a proposal for Landon..
what about next try? AGAIN BAYERN MUNICH??? Hey, come on..it is cool in Munich..
with super cool Beer, Oktoberfest, cool city..parties....hm???? nice countryside around Munich..
    think over..

I have been also a fan of Klinsi long time!!! smart man, good looking.....
he should send Landon to Germany..o.k...I know about Klinsi and Bayern..
    hm..

    so ...Landon..back to Germany?
    hm?

    greetings from Germany
    your bltleo

I hope he gets involved in development and administration, after he retires.

The program could use someone with his brains and experience. And after all these years he must know the ins and outs of it.

If you don't get a little bit emotional about the end of Donovan's career, you're not a real USA fan. So many great memories.

Dude probably needs a vacation. He's had some injuries this season and has been playing a massive number of games over the past few years.

I'm not done watching him yet either. Especially when it's so clear that he has years to go. One of the reasons among many I hope LA wins on Weds.

He has earned the right to do what he wants, but man, I cannot imagine not watching him destroy a defense. I just can't.

I know "world class" is a term that is ambiguous and can spark many debates around here, but I think most of us can agree that Graham Zusi and Luis Silva don't fit that definition.

But then again, you're obviously trolling, since you're signature says, "death to college soccer." :ROFLMAO:
