Hi, I'm an American Outlaw member from CT (we're trying to finalize our official Bridgeport Chapter), and I was wondering if anyone here works for Major League Soccer, Red Bull New york, or even U.S. Soccer Federation at a professional level. I am very interested in becoming employed by one of these organizations, especially NYRB or MLS, and I'd like some questions answered: 1) What is the best way to get employed by these organizations? What are they looking for as far as training, education, etc.? 2) Is it possible to quickly earn a professional salary, or do you have to work as an intern without pay? if it's the latter, for how long do you have to do this? About me: I'm a 26 year old guy who earned BA in Psychology. I'm the most passionate Soccer supporter I know of personally (and I surround myself with a lot of Soccer people), which is the main reason why I want to be involved with these organizations. I believe I have a lot to offer the sport in the United States, as I believe, with the right direction, this sport has a very bright future here, as does our National Team in future World Cups. I fully expect to see the United States Men's National Team win a FIFA World Cup within my lifetime, if I live to till an old age. My talents include my ability to be persuasive and articulate, my natural charisma, my superior writing ability, and my gushing passion for the sport is sure to be a real asset to me, especially when reading that one of the main requirements for working for MLS or NYRB is having a real "Passion and understanding of Soccer". I've been told by some of my friends that I should get into "Sales" because of my directness, inheritant honesty, persuasiveness, confidence and mastery of my argument. Before now, I always shrugged it off because I had no interest working for corporations that I don't believe in. But, I believe very strongly in American Soccer, and I'd like to use my talents to serve the interest of U.S. Soccer and MLS. Any help would be very much appreciated. Positive Reps for everyone who helps me, if that's at all important to you. Thanks in advance!
