doesn't make sense...Red devil's supporters seems to be insane and teh most energetic crowd around....how coem KL has no supporters?
yeah i do have to admit, compared to the Korean National Team fans, our K-League didnt really get much popularity. after the 2002 WC we did get a brief stint of more attendees but thats about it. now if Korea had a decent crowd support like J-League, id say we couldve attracted higher calibur players to our league. if ONLY K-League was as popular as our National Team is. K-League does have energetic supporters, but only a few of them. here is an idea of the average crowd size at a game http://dory.mncast.com/mncHMovie.swf?movieID=10004764920060813051120 there are however sometimes a HUGE turn-out, but on average we expect like 10,000. if we trimmed down the stadium size, it might make it look like the stadium is more filled. the current stadiums our K-League teams use was built especially for the WC, its just a huge waste. i do remember someone talking about the scheduling was a problem. i think like Japan, Baseball gets a great turnout compared to soccer. might be the cheerleaders but who knows
You're an idiot. When's the last time you've watched a K-League game? To make things more simple, why are you trying to be a smart ass about something you don't know anything about? Here, go buy yourself a clue.
Don't take what the guy said seriously. He's a clueless clown who hardly ever watches KNT games let alone watching the K-League.
Reason why English Premier League Stadiums have great atmosphere (maybe except for Middlesbrough in the top flight when it comes to good crowd) is because the seats are extremely close to the pitch. First thing's first in the K-League. As much as I hate to say this since i use to run track, get rid of the track field.
Speaking of stadium atmosphere in Japan, here's a great video of Urawa Reds' supporters. mms://column.eflamma.com/video/urawa.wmv I get goose bumps every time I watch this thing. Which game was this and does this happen in every Urawa games?
Did I touch a sensitive subject? http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/sports/200607/kt2006070616174911640.htm Now, go buy yourself a life
There is exception rule for Under 20 year old foreign player with low salary contract. Including them, Yes, club can have 5, but in that case, two of them must be U20 players.
Since when did the number of spectators dictate the level of football played? Last time I checked, it was Ulsan 6 : 0 Gamba Osaka.
I would say K-league is stronger than J-league for sure because a K-league team, don't know the name, has beaten up a J-league team 6-0 a few weeks ago.
Some K-League matches are so pitiful for players. Those K-League players are so desperate to escape from K-League, so they play meaningless games against J-Leage club so frantically in order to attract interest from J-League Club. Japanese players are just too charitable to extinguish their hope But what truly pitiful is, K-League officials said attendance in that match of above pic was 4,278 , but even that was clearly much overstated , as same as Koean waves or somethings .
Guys... this is not a J.LEAGUE vs. K-league thread. Stay on topic, or this thread will be closed (or will be seperated into two threads).
"As a US Division I player, I'd be interested in playing for J2 and working my way up. Anybody have connections? " I think a division 1 player could definitely play for a J2 team. In fact I think most of the J League teams or on par with the MLS, so that puts you at the right level if you are gunning for J2. Different exposure, great experience!! Try contacting the J2 clubs through a proper agent, and you never know?? As you probably know, there is a Japanese guy playing for Montreal in the USL, so it is not an insane proposition to imagine someone going the other way. I'd cheer for you. What's your age and club, if you don't mind me asking??
Or just delete every single post that has nothing to do with Americans in the J League, stop speaking about K League, This is the Japan boards if you havn't noticed
In spite of the all together predictability of insults coming from both sides of the Korea-Japan divide, I think it's a good discussion to be had on the relative merits and downsides to the J league and K league. I do think it needs to be split into two threads though. I think both discussions are important and I do enjoy learning about the K league.
Actually, that's not that true. When I was in Nagaoka in 1997 each of the public schools had 2 or 3 Americans there helping teach English... And about Americans playing in Japan... I don't think many Americans would be able to adjust very well to the Japanese culture. The Japanese culture is very different than it is in America and it is very difficult to communicate without knowing the language. However, if you are an African American man like myself, you can become a local celebrity, lol. I was 16 when I went to Japan to play soccer in a sister cites exchange tournament and I think every high school girl came up to talk to me, lol. I even had some very interesting questions from small children, but that is a whole other topic...
