Yes and unfortunately the Colombian NT already suffered from this "captain". He may be good enough for the Colombian/Argentine/Brazilian/Mexican league, but he is not fit for some time now to the highest levels Internationally and European major leagues.

33 isn't the end for a good CB like Yepes maybe for NT duty but Yepes and Perea are very different. Perea and Cordoba were all about speed and they both lost it and were useless. Cordoba was a much smarter defender. Yepes was never that fast just really smart and very good in the air things you don't lose with age.

Nonsense. He was Ridiculous for DIM the year they made semis in the Libertadores and then both at Boca and his first couple of seasons in Spain. He lost his concentration at some point...

I think he reached his top point around that time (when he moved to Spain) and from there he relied too much on his speed and kind of regressed on his technique... From then on, he was not disastrous but very prone to concentration errors, too often of the costly kind.

It's really hard to believe that such a good athlete hadn't score before. Or least more often. I mean, this guy is very athletic. Just look at the way he jumps.

Anyways, good for Amaranto he definately needs a boot in his self esteem after not so fortunate performances with the NT.
