Oh great, now he's not going to score because of you.

I didn't put him in the title so he'd score.

Tottenham is a team that can be had.
Good time to spring an upset.

Only player to have ever played in a World Cup. Quite an honor

Soooo Jozy is now playing with the U21's instead of dressing for the first team.

    This is getting bad.

No, you got it wrong. They must be giving Sunderland's reserve team a rest today ;). Jozy has been dressing with the reserves all along...Today is his first chance with an actual Footy team

Is this for real? How can Jozy even play with the U-21s? If these are Sunderland's reserve players, I'm expecting this to look like an AYSO match.

Lynden Gooch is American! (I've recently learned). Where have all of his match threads been?

I think Dixon scored as well , and Gooch put one in from the bench, but none from Jozy.

Sounds like Jozy has been just as bad with the U21s....

While obviously Jozy is frustrated, emotional, pissed, etc,etc,etc...and rightly so. Whether at him self or under the circumstance. I am afraid he is of a weak mind... at least that's where I am coming to with him. This is no time to pack it in. Its a time to give it everything he has to PROVE all the doubters wrong. Instead it appears he is giving up.

@Metcalficus: Altidore has been just as bad. Small crowd but annoyed at his lack of effort. Has looked totally uninterested #SAFC

Exactly why does it appear that? Guys that give it up refuse to suit up for the U21's. The have the stomach flu. Their knee hurts. They come late.

How do people come up with this stuff.

Right now, S'land is going through yet another game without a striker getting a sniff. Getting their goal from a donkey off a terrible Spurs mistake.

Jozy has shown up every time he's been asked, played the game, run to the last minute. Not been photographed laying drunk on a casino floor. Not caught begging girls to sext him or horking on rickshaw guys.

How does anyone see him "giving up?" Play badly, maybe. Being unlucky, for sure. Disappointed? Probably.

But he has been 100% professional as far as I've seen, despite his team going down in such epic flames that they may make Fulham with a -1000 GD look like a step up... I just don't understand this post.

I can imagine he sees the writing on the wall and isn't pleased about this. So I can understand if he behaves as if uninterested.

When you're about to play in a World Cup in two months, I imagine it's tough to get up for a U21 match.

I definitely understand this basically means he is finished at Sunderland and he knows it. As I mentioned a few weeks ago at that time I felt his PL career was essentially over then and I feel the same now. And I totally get why he may be uninterested and feel that it is pointless, etc. But I will be damned if he isn't going to be needed this summer for his country. And every minute he has on the pitch moving forward he should be trying his best to get better imo. But hey, thats just me I guess.

It's like when I yell at my kid to make his bed, and he sulks and does a half-assed job, and I get more angry at him for his insolence. Jozy's reaction to this move may land him up off the team sheets altogether or planted with the U21's for the remainder of the season. I have no direct evidence that he was insolent or lazy during this game, but if the reports are accurate, I can imagine Poyet just writing him off for good. I had a hard time seeing how this could have gotten worse, but ol Jozy found a way god bless him.
