I have to say, the line up here was really a "huh?" Even Sam commented on it before the game - he expected an attacking 4-3-3 and got a 3-5-2. I understand the desire not to completely be overrun in midfield, but leaving Johnson on the bench??

Ki with a shot that deflects off the keeper, Wickham's follow-up is off the keeper again.

Wickham with a beautiful through ball for Borini, who puts it into the side netting outside the goal.

Carroll throws everyone for a loop and tries to kick a ball in the goal. Corner.

Somebody dummied it, too. Maybe Johnson?

Pretty surprised he is not turning to Altidore against tired defenders, but maybe this will be good for him. He can sit here watching how the team operates with two whole forwards out there, realize he needs to take the ball for himself and realize the team needs him to do it. Like they need damn breathing.

Okay, yeah. Poyet is a dingdong. Bring in Scocco, umm okay, fine. For Ki instead of one of those five bumblers defensive players?

Sweet Moses, man. What good is 60% of the ball if half your players are those guys?

Nah, it is good. Poyet obviously needed an EPL lesson before it is too late.

I think Poyet is one of the only ones ready for this level. I don't think Sunderland are blessed with quality players. And when i see Martinez at Everton while being in relegation fights at Wigan i think there are quality managers with crap untalented teams.

On the plus side, Jozy will likely only get half the usual dose of abuse on twitter today.

It would be appropriate if Mannone got the equalizer. He's the only reason they're even close to staying up.

I agree with this. Hard for anyone to look good with a defensive back line as bad as they have.
