The best goalkeeper ecuador has ever had was Ansaldo.. Chile cracked his ribs in the 66 qualifier when Ecuador was robbed. I forgot the name of that ecuadorian midfielder that played in Mexico. Tall skinny black guy with an afro.. hat guy was pretty good.

Italo Estupiñán, played for El Nacional, Toluca, Puebla, among others. He was a forward and should be on the list, at least as a reserve.

Anybody know anything on Enrique Raymondi Contreras?

Joeffre Guerron ladies and gentlemen. This guy is going to make history. He will be by far, the best Ecuadorian player. Yes I said it. Remeber my words, he will be the talk of all sports channels.

When he returns on the 25 on this month for the finals, he would have enough time to recuperate and will shine so bright, Guerron will blind the opponent. Of all the talent I have witnessed in Ecuador and other countries, this guy is the real deal.

Hate me now for saying this but remember me when it comes true.

Tin Delgado and Jose Cevallos get my vote.

Kaviedes is up there and could have been the best ever if he was more professional.

Valencia looks promising, as does Guerron but its too early to say.

Guerron got owned in Spain. If he can make this pass at 1:48, get back in position and learn how to play in a system. SURE!!! if he does all this, I believe he can be very successful even more so than than Valencia in the prem league:

at 1:48 I nearly broke my 42 inch Plasma. ********ing guy almost cost me 3 grand!!!!

i almost died of a heart attack when he did that...I couldn't believe he didn't pass.

And I also remember Salas was sh*tting on everyone that came across him on that game, he was working them.

If given the chance this season, Salas will have a breakout year. I'm hoping for it. I'm certain he'll be part of the spark we can use off the bench in eliminatorias matches in the future IF he can stay fit

I would love to see that as much as any other Liga fan would but unfortunately it seems that he isn't getting opportunities with Bauza. In the 1 or 2 friendlies Liga has played so far since Bauza has been coach, Salas has not even stepped on the field i think (and to my knowledge, he's not injured...and let's also remember that he finished off the season in top notch shape). Cristian Lara has been playing though...but again, I think thats only cuz Miller Bolanos is still recovering. Once Miller's back I'm sure Lara and Salas will be benched, BUT have a really strong possibilities on being super subs. I hope that Salas gets his minutes in though. I guess Salas doesn't cause any interest to Bauza someitmes.

lol...Aquinaga would run circle around him. I remember watching Ecuador play at Aquinaga peaks and people thought he was nationalized argentine or Brazilian because he looked so out of place and was so above every player on the pitch.

The list is long but instead of ULDC, I'd pick Wagner "La Bala" Rivera. OMG, I loved the way that kid played. he was turning into a G.O.D at flamengo but ofcourse he had a drinking and drug problem.
