I saw the request for this league on the Sand forum and had just returned from a Liturgy at my kids school where they were hailing the great Aussie Saint... Mary McKillop whose motto was " Never see a NEED without DOING something about it"....

In that spirit, I raced home, knocking a few elderly people over along the way, and I have set up the All Rocks Head to Head Cup.... probably not what Mary had in mind when she said those famous words, but then again I do not think FPL was around in the 1800's... probably why she had so much time to go and help the poor and stuff:p

I have made it a 8 Team Finals series (ie 3 knock out rounds) to make it a bit more interesting.

Anyway, I have sent PM to all Dusty's the League Code... I will send a PM to one or two in each League... please pass it on to the rest of your League if you get it.

I've tried inputting the code from the forum and it says it isn't a valid league code...

I have not checked the All Rocks Head to Head Comp yet.. I have taped the Man U game and will watch tonight... but on checking the other day, only 12-15 or so had joined up.

So instead of it being "Just a Few" Rocks instead of "All Rocks" I propose the following... given delay in setting up, access to FPL etc:
    • We scrap the one we just set up
    • We start the All-Rocks Head To Head in Week 5
    • This allows 34 Gameweeks to complete the competition; 31 Rounds (everyone plays each other once..presuming everyone joins) and 3 weeks for the 8 finalists to fight it out.
    Sound good?

I'm one of those who wasn't in the league, to my great dismay. So should I join now? Or wait for a new league to start game week 5?

I have finally checked it out and only 15 Managers ened up joining so I will can this League.... it does not have a very AllRocksy feel about it with less than half the tribe in there.:(

As stated above I will set up another League that starts in GW5... I will PM codes etc once it is set up. Might wait a little bit until all the chinks are out of the FPL site.

I have no idea what is going on with FPL this season but I have tried the new league code and it says -

This is not a valid league code. Please enter another code or check the code with the league administrator.

I'm not getting that far unfortunately. When I try and join a new league and enter the code it says it's not a valid code.

Stupid stupid FPL....I have emailed you the invite FraserMc... let me know if it works

BTW, anyone know how to get a "Data View" of another team??? This is very handy in collating scores for Rothman's Medal... it seems to be not active this year.. I click on "Data View" on another team and all I get is the automatic subs for last week??? I hope this is a glich they are going to fix.

They had it but then took it down since a glitch was allowing people to see the transfer moves made by the manager for the upcoming week. Now the tab shows up but not the players so I guess their working on it. Not sure when/if they'll bring it back to how it was last season.

Bloody FPL is seriously messed up this season.

Getting bad when you can't even join a league with a valid league code... :(

    I find a whinge works wonders! :D

Got on by using the code, the very same code, as I copied and pasted both, from the e-mail link that Doc sent me. (thanks Doc)

Not sure why one works and the other doesn't when they're the exact same but who cares. I'm in!

Although FPL is certainly under-performing this season, these kinds of issues are tied to "operator" error the vast, vast, vast majority of the time..... :D

To rule that out, is there any chance that you are cutting and pasting the code and have picked up an extra blank space after the last number? Check and see if there is that extra blank space and delete it. Alternatively, don't cut and paste and just type it.

If that doesn't work, then it may just be an anti-fraser thing, because I just got in (but did delete that extra space before submitting).

Reporting from day two of your Sisyphean task...:D

I thought waiting to start until GW5 was silly but I've revised that assessment.
