yeah and it's not like Davies, who was probably our most agile player at the time, destroyed Bradley. And in the last one Mikey won.
One thing is for sure, if you want to impress your new coach, show up for practice and finish first on race day. Certainly, he was noticed as someone that the coaches can count upon.
Open day for Roma, A little over 15k turned up. I believe Bradley is the 2nd player on the left hand side.
That track around the pitch at the Olimpico is really an eye sore. Place could use a bit of the old ultra renovation. Cool moment at 1:01:00 of that video. During the Michael Bradley chant, you can tell that he's really soaking it in.
Hey, it's a massive step in the right direction from: A History of Male Pattern Baldness in Football - by Big Soccer
"Why am I here? I hate this club. I wish I had signed for Lazio instead. You are the worst fans in football."
While I agree that running tracks for football stadiums are stupid, when you have really big match in there it's quite the spectacle. When players score an important goal it makes it so much more dramatic. We probably won't be at the Stadio Olimpico in 5 years, or in the general area for that matter. The directive across the board with Italian clubs is building modern stadiums. There's even talk of getting public assistance to build private stadiums. Fans closer to the pitch and more sensible capacities. Like Roma's new stadium will probably be around 55k to 60k. Off the top of my head Roma, Inter, Napoli, Lazio, Palermo and Catania have stadium projects being discussed, and I think Udinese is going to refurbish it's ground. Roma in particular has hired Cushman and Wakefield, a consulting firm with experience in this field, and commissioned Dan Mies the designer of a few projects here in America. The media keep saying this project will be as modern as Cowboys stadium, which I think is a little hype. From what I've been told, Houston's Reliant Stadium is the model. Which I think at around 55k to 60k capacity will be perfect. I'd like the fans a little closer on the sides but that's about all. Reliant Stadium manages to be so massive, climate controlled and with natural grass. The biggest concern right now is finding a suitable location and there are a few different proposals that the club and the city have talked about. My preferred location is Tor Di Valle by the Ippodromo. It's further out from the current stadium but to be honest that's a good thing. The Olimpico is a pain to get to and it's not in the best area, which contributes to the dwindling attendance. A good portion of Romans live in the suburbs, not the city. Wherever we build there's always the chance that some ancient douche will ruin the plan. The club buys the land, clears it, digs a couple feet under the ground and finds an ancient Roman pisspot and construction is halted until said piss pot is removed. This could happen if you were building a convenience store, so the odds of it happening with a 60k stadium are much higher. I think it will get done though, hopefully by 2016-ish http://www.meisarchitects.com/
Good stuff. I've watched many a game at Reliant and I'm always struck by it's size, it's aesthetics, and the fact that there's not a bad seat in the house.
Here's someone who knows a lot about the United States. Michael Bradley. Your greeting: "Thanks to everyone for coming. I'll give my all for you, for this team, for this stadium. Daje Roma! Tomorrow the team is leaving for the USA - your house. How will they be awaiting Roma in the States? "Everyone there is excited for us. So it will be a good tournament for everyone."
Also Roma related transfer news. Simplicio and Roma have come to mutual termination and he's off to Japan. Bye, Bye, Arnold... The Greek kid Tachtsidis comes in who's another midfielder. From what I can tell he's more in the mold of Sigurdsson, a goal scoring midfielder. So I don't think that will effect Bradley. Arnold leaving gives him more opportunities though because Simplico is a box-to-box midfielder.
The Billy goat curse who have cursed the Cubs for more than 100+ years will curse the game into a 0-0 draw.
