Kennedy for Cooper? RBNY just placed their GK Gaulette on re-entre draft and Bruce Arena was quoted Saunders will be back with the galaxy.
did we ever take full ownership of correa? i remember his former club retained 20% of his ownership. i wonder how that was all sorted out. in any case, if correa, agudelo (if he stays in MLS), and bowen are good enough for the time being. i see lots of chemistry forming and the best part is that they're young. lets see if we can keep this trio together. as for DK, i seriously doubt we end up trading what is potentially our best player in our short history to our biggest rivals. i dont think vergara flies like that. at least i hope not. (but man, we've been hella fortunate with our GKs - Guzan, Torta, DK: all superb. even burpo was bad ass in his limited time. zuniga? not so much).
That would be pretty savvy on NYRB--essentially flipping a first round pick for DK and getting 18 goals in the year between. Cooper had a great 2012 but he's getting up there in age (33?). I'd like a coach to develop what we already have in Townsend, Correa and Agudelo.
This actually is true. Our forwards are all capable if we could just get them the ball effectively. Building a great mid is the key and a defense that can get in the attack ala the Mexican league teams. I like the IDE of agudelo and correa up top with Bowen coming on as a super sub when the other teams defense is tired. But the only attack minded mids we had were smith and bolanos. I'd keep both but look for a DP center mid #10. Sinha or Rafael baca, gringo Torres ( I know he's with Tigres now)
Three questions: 1. Initially really liked the Joseph trade because I thought Joseph would pair well with Minda in Fraser's 4-2-3-1. But they never really ever played together and when Joseph played centerback. Any idea why Fraser didn't play them together? 2. At this point, should we think of Joseph as a centerback? 3. Assuming he goes through the re-entry draft, would you take Blair Gavin back assuming you got his salary down to a more manageable level (I'll leave that to you to determine what that is)?
Facepalm. I think that was my third post on BigSoccer and with it I shredded any credibility I might have had
Agreed. Steve Samsung must be utilized to the fullest. La galaxy signed another development contract for another one of their players. They're doing already what we want to do. I also read that we're looking at Sabah . Borgetti-esque player of medicos old guard. He's 33. But he won't have Aldo de Lao , Jefferson Martinez, Rojas feeding him service. Will he be as effective for us? http://www.mlssoccer.com/es/news/article/2012/12/11/pases-del-sur-miguel-sabah-interesa-chivas-usa
I don't think any high profile Liga MX player would come to Chivas USA. Besides, learning a new league, its a major step down in pay. The MLS style is fast and furious. That's a factor. I think this is just another attempt at getting the Chivas USA name out there. Just my opinion.
Agreed, plus if he comes here, he'll be making less money than if he were to go to Chivas GDL, unless we take him as our DP.
http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1679653&s=mex&type=story Looks like Chelis is a done deal. Obligatory Bofo rumor Giovani Casillas (Winger) (sub 17 champ) Christian Perez Mario de luna (CB) Antonio Rodriguez (GK) Dont know how i feel about this! Excited for the strong change-up, hopefully we can reach that 2006-2007 form CDCU had. I hope we dont end up with another 2005 experience though
I kind of feel like he gave us who wasn't working out in the team. Casillas and de Luna are promising but that's all I see here. If feel like if he wouldn't line chivas de guad up with these players why would they be good enough for us. I don't know. What happened to the arellanos, medinas, etc that they were thinking of sending over. Maybe with this team we might be able to tie that Trinidad and Tobago team that knocked chivas de guad out of contention in the concacaf champs league. We NEED a center mid. A number 10 please.
Ah the annual Bofo to Chivas USA rumor and this time it might come to reality. http://www.record.com.mx/article/bofo-bautista-cerca-de-chivas-usa I'm skeptical that the guy has anything left in him but maybe he can sell some tickets
I believe MLS also has rules for international players. Each team gets 8 slots unless they trade for more slots. http://www.mlssoccer.com/2012-mls-roster-rules
Chelis officially named as new coach http://www.cdchivasusa.com/news/2012/12/chivas-usa-appoints-jose-luis-sánchez-solá-new-head-coach
Apprently we are looking to get another international spot after this trade with the Timbers. http://www.cdchivasusa.com/news/201...timbers-trade-position-mls-allocation-ranking
