[USA-Iceland]: HT' 0-0 I manually refresh my US Soccer home page, and notice a 1-line blurbpology above the scoreboard pane that reads: We apologize, but we are currently experiencing a datacenter outage. We hope to have it resolved shortly.
I hope everyone that tried to load the matchtracker today sent a complaint of some sort to ussoccer. Either via the WNTblog or one of the other contact methods
They also have a twitter account. Seriously, folks. Let's make them hear our complaints. Enough of this crap@ss stuff. There is an official U.S. Soccer facebook page. We could post complaints there, too. eta: no, sccl, there is no in game coverage on the wntblog or ussoccer twitter. @ssholes.
And suddenly it's 2-0 US, from an Iceland own goal at 60' and a goal by Cheney at 62'. And yes, it would be great to have more information, even from Twitter. EDIT: Oops. Sorry for the duplicate info. Feast or famine here, it seems.
still not working for me. :sniff: eta: will someone that can get matchtracker to work please post a lineup? thanks.
not working for me either, Firefox is working, Internet Explorer is not heard through a friend that Lindsey had the assist on Cheney's goal
still not working for me in either browser I try. Will someone who can get it to work please post a lineup? thx.
looks like it was: Whitehill LePielbet Buehler Shnur HOR Box Lloyd Averbuch Cheney Wambach Subbed in: Lindsey for Aver, Arod for Cheney, Casey for Boxx, Cox for Shnur
Well, I had match tracker working. If I remember correctly, the starting lineup was Solo, Whitehill, Buehler, LePeilbet, Schnur, O'Reilly, Boxx, Lloyd, Averbuch, Cheney, Wambach.
60' 1-0 #2 Sif Alta's Daughter, chasing back toward her own goal, heads a cross just on the wrong side of the near post. 62' 2-0 #5 Lori Lindsey threads a through-ball to #11 Lauren Cheney, who curls in.
Nice to see that USA is up 2~0 in minute 79, though I cannot launch matchtracker in IE and the most recent twitter update is 13 hours old. . Complain to US Soccer if you will. I note with some interest that Nike, McDonalds, Gatoraide, Dicks, and Pepsi have all had their logos proudly displayed in support of the-gang-that-couldn't-shoot-straight. I wonder how much money they are paying to be associated with an organization that makes them look bad by association? My ire is not directed at the US WNT who are doing a great job. Neither do I think these fine sponsors should rethink their visionary choice to be a part of turning soccer into an important American sport. But I do think these sponsors deserve good PR value for their dollar. You can be damn sure I am telling them so. You can also be sure I will remember these sponsors and if over time I don't see the result of advertising pressure on US Soccer to improve their basic competence in coverage of the women's game, I'm gonna make a note, and share it with all my friends... US Soccer will respond to the marketplace. Talk to their sponsors. Have a nice day all!
85' 2-0 MatchTracker is up, works fine, with unbroken PBP back to the pre-game, uh huh. Lineups: USA: Pia Sundhage (G) #1 Hope Solo (D) #4 Cat Whitehill, #6 Amy LePeilbet, #17 Meghan Schnur (75' #14 Stephanie Cox), #26 Rachel Buehler (M) #12 Yael Averbuch (58' #5 Lori Lindsey), #9 Heather O'Reilly, #10 Carli Lloyd, #7 Shannon Box (75' #15 Casey Noguiera) (F) #11 Lauren Cheney (66' #8 Amy Rodriguez), #20(c) Abby Wambach 90+7 2-0 FT.
wtf? 2 pks? geeze. I mean, yay that Solo saved them but wtf are we doing giving up 2 pks? eta: and I've been reloading the ussoccer page all morning and never got matchtracker to work. Thanks to the folks that posted info once they were able to find it.
