Not to me. You get to be the "flagship" by running your team like a circus. Alexi's a bit of a clown.

Man, I gotta find my '96 jersey.

Hey the BRD put a lot of fannies in the seats. Remember the billboard on the Xway? We were so optimistic back then. I remember seeing another Alexi billboard in KC later.

I believe its "jewel" rather than "flagship."

My memories of Alexi with the Revs are of him standing with hand held high -looking at the linesman - while forward after forward slotted home goals.

May he become a better GM than he was an MLS player...

I actually HAVE one of HIS 1996 jersies, with his name and the "Bic" patch below the number. I caught it when he threw it into the fort after one of our many losses.

Was he celebrating giving up only six 1 on 1's?

No, he was trying to avoid being identified as he was walking off the pitch. :D

    It didn't work.

I remember when I was like 11 or 12 or whatever, right before MLS started, my mother was working the Hyde Park Lions Club banquet and I went along to get the autographs and stuff of the Sox players and other atheletes that would be there. A couple hours before things got started a member of the Revs came to put out schedules and bumper stickers and stuff. I remember talking to him about how I had watched the 94 World Cup but that was really the only soccer I knew, but I was pointing out how I knew who Lalas was, he was on the cover of the schedule thing. I wish I knew who that player I talked to was. It had to be some benchwarmer or something, I remember him being a young guy.

I don't think some of you guys are giving the BRD nearly enough credit. There's a reason he's risen to the top. He's a bright dude.
