There's no dilemma. If Croatia can take our players just cause they are called Mladen (Petric) or Nikica (Jelavic) (even tho they and their parents were born in Bosnia) then surely we can take Halilovic. His father was born in Bosnia and his father played for Bosnia. End.

I watched the game today. Alen showed some nice dribbling skills and nearly scored a goal but it was ruled offside. Kid has a ton of potential but he is only 16. Let's see how long it takes him to become a regular at dinamo. Kovacic also made his debut at 16 and by 17 was a first team player at dinamo. Halilovic played 10 minutes btw.

I think it will be very hard to get Alen because of his affiliation with Dinamo which is like Croatia B team. We must try as hard as we can.

It would suck losing Halilovic, he seems like the real deal.

Man Utd target Alen Halilovic plays down talk of MUFC or Real Madrid CF move

    \
Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Alen Halilovic, who has been linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid, has played down talk of a move to one of Europe's elite.

And the 16-year-old, who is being seen as one of the best prospects ever to come out of Croatia, has played down comparisons with Barcelona forward Lionel Messi.
Some believe Halilovic is showing more potential than Messi was at the same age, and the teenager in recent days has been linked with both United and Los Blancos.
But the teenager has played down talk over a move away from Dinamo.
"I read in the newspapers that I look like Leo Messi when I play," Halilovic told Jutarnji List.
"But I think the comparison with Messi is just too much.
"There is only one Messi. I admire him, he is a role model for many young players, but I don't know if anyone can be like him.
"Stories about Real Madrid and Manchester United? I don't give much thought about those kind of stories.
"Dinamo will decide what will happen to me, all I have to do is just try to develop as much as I can. Everything else doesn't matter right now."

Alen is easily one of the biggest young talents in the game right now. His dribbling and shot are already better than Modric's. He's about 5 levels above Luka at the same age. IMMENSE potential. and I mean IMMENSE.

    Could be the next Messi.

Neću ništa raditi bez dozvole Dinama, u kojem Alen igra i gdje sam i ja trener.

He is a better prospect then Modric at the same age even a bigger prospect then Kovacic who is also more talented then modric at the same age. The thing with modric is he has a tremendous work ethic along with his great ability. Modric has become one of the best midfielders in the world. Halilovic has a chance to become one of the best players in the world. I hope the kid gets a shot to play in the champions league against dynamo Kyiev.

Possibly the best young talent in the world?

Mamic is saying he has never seen a more talented player in Dinamo before.

Everyone is saying this kid is the new Messi, only 16 years old!

We should try snap up Mateo Kovacic too. His parents are from Kotor Varos, Bosnia but he was born in Austria.

The kid is very talented for sure but i don't want to get too excited just yet. Still need to see if he actually plays for us. One thing that impresses me the most is how fast he cuts from left to right and vice versa...pretty amazing.
