Premier league starts next week and Primera Division starts in 2 weeks.

Damn it ESPN3! They are kicking off the season with PSV v AZ.

On another note I finally gave in and bought HD cable with a DVR and the sports package so I'll get to see more of the big boy leagues this season.

Ajax is negotiating with Jasper Cillessen of NEC (goalkeeper) according to De Telegraaf. De Boer states they are in talks with NEC and are working hard to get the deal done. Father of Cillessen confirms that his son has told Ajax he's interested in a move to Amsterdam.

Expectations are high all around for Ajax this year. I'm excited for sunday, let's hope the first league game does not dissappoint.

I think they will hold onto the 4 mil, but it's a fair price to pay. Vermeer has only 2 years left on his contract and has already stated that he won't sign an extension.

Christian Eriksens agent told danish newspaper that they had received an offer from Manchester City but Eriksen rejected as he felt it wasn't the right move for him and he wanted to improve more with Ajax

I think it would make more sense to swap Eriksen and Janssen.

Serero seems to me to be a combination/passing player. Wants to be in the center of the play and is always looking for the quickest way forwards. I don't think he'd be very suitable as one of the forwards. Although he reminds me of Pienaar, and he did decent at times as well on the wing. Got to be in the Iniesta kind of role though.

I like what I've seen from Boerrigter so far. Could actually turn out to be the best winger we have. Excellent cross and shot, and very athletic.

Assaidi and Narsingh once again showed that they should have been Ajax youth products and that they would easily be starters for Ajax.

Narsingh was a former youth player, but you're right there was seriously something wrong with our policy considering both were born in Amsterdam.

Narsingh has confessed that Ajax probably made the right decision in sending him away because of his lack of commitment/off-court activities, but he stressed that the talent was always there..

Boussoufa, Assaidi and Narsingh were from the same neighbourhood and played together on the streets, I blame Boussoufa for messing with their head lol since he's the older one.

I hope we think twice now about sending certain youth players away. Narsingh, Elia, Lens and Amrabat all released for free and now only Ebecilio and Ozbiliz have come through so far. Our wings could've been so much better employed now with no money spend.

We've bought Boerrigter back, might as well do the same for Narsingh now.

We should grant them Aissati + money and offer Ebecilio/Ozbiliz on loan for a package deal for Assaidi and Narsingh. Should Twente fail in qualifying for the CL we have free (8 mil) money coming in.

I think we have already have the best squad in the Eredivisie, but there's always room for improvement.

It's kind of funny how Heerenveen's front trio have all been Ajax fans since childhood, no wonder they wanted to play in Ajax-like away jerseys this season.
