Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) has set up a zonal qualifying tournament which determines the eight teams in the final tournament. Each four or five provinces compete for a spot in the final tournament, while Kabul best team can join the other seven qualified teams. The final tournament is staged in Kandahar due to the warmer weather there during the winter.
So far, these teams have qualified:
    1. Baghlan (Northeastern Zone)
    2. KamAir (Northern Zone)
    3. Parwan (Central Zone)
    4. Khost (Southern Zone)
    5. ?? (Western Zone)
    6. ?? (Eastern Zone)
    7. ?? (Southeastern Zone)
    8. Kabul representative

South Asian Football Federation plans to invite the member states to participate in SAFF Clubs Championship, U19 Championship, U16 Championship, Women U19 Championship and SAFF Women's Championship in 2010. The Men U16 Championship is apparently scheduled in February, and Afghanistan Football Federation is already getting preparations for this tournament.

Afghanistan fell one more step down to 193. The collapse is mainly because of three successive defeats in the SAFF games.

One Afghan TV reported that the champion of Afghanistan Clubs Championship will represent Afghanistan in AFC Cup. Is that right, does anyone know about it?

Not as far as i'm aware. I think the next edition they could take part in would be from 2011. But they need AFC to inspect them first.

    President's Cup is more likely.

AFC Presidents cup is probably where Afghan club teams will start off with, and it will be really good for players to play other clubs to gain experience.

SAF Games coming up, i hope Afghanistan is better prepared this time round for a event...

And KabulBank made it to the semi-final from Group B after defeating Arman Baghlan on Tuesday. KabulBank won all its three matches. The second match of the day is between Esteghlal Herat and Kandahar Youth. Esteghlal Herat needs only a draw to reach the semi-final as the runners up.

i hope this tournement provided Afghanistan with new players for the national team from other regions of Afghanistan instead of just picking players from Kabul.

is the winner going to hopefully play in the AFC presidents cup?

And Kabul Bank wins the finale with 2-1 score agaist Esteghlal Herat.
Now, we should wait for Afghanistan Football Federation to announce officially if Kabul Bank will participate in 2010 AFC President Cup. Previous media reports have confirmed participation of the winning team in this tournament.
