I was looking at the Xavi boots on the last thread a bit more, there seems to be a lack of rubber/anything in the first touch area. It looks smooth like they've decided that this zone is no longer needed. I can see stuff on the instep and in the 'toe punt' area at the front so my mates going to be happy!

You probably have a take down from a general sporting good store like Dick's guessing by the term "Xavi boots"

Yes, precisely. Makes sense the Xavi blackouts lack the placement of rubber on the top of the toes. Completely killed my touch when juggling, and cradling the ball with the LZs. I am sorry to keep hating on the LZs. I respect everyone's differences, and adidas' evolution. Glad they look to have gained proper feedback from wear testing in creating the latest prototype. I am surprised at the lack of response I have gotten from all stores and adidas employees I have spoken with regarding a "World Cup 2014 Predator". Obviously there is something coming, lets just hope it isn't another LZ.

^^ All due respect to the artist, but in boot form that whole package is quite ugly.

I wouldn't wear it, but I actually kind of... I wouldn't necessarily say "like," but I appreciate the artistic value, if you will.

Also, while browsing soccer.com, I found another limited edition f50. Apparently it's for the Cascadia Cup. That makes me wonder why there isn't something for the California Clasico. To be fair, the next SJ-LA game is one week after the upcoming POR-SEA game, so adidas could still release a pair... if they did... I don't know that I'd be able to afford it, though.

Edit: I just realized... I find it interesting that this limited edition is in a leather rather than synthetic, like most f50 exclusives are (see: Messi, Yamamoto).

Apologies for the double post (I'm very much accustomed to forums where you can edit indefinitely...), but I realized you can replicate this exact colorway via miadidas. Proof. So... that kind of devalues its worth as a limited edition...

They're... shaped like generic single-celled organisms? In previous images, they gave me the impression of being much sleeker.

really don't see what was wrong with the current pattern apart from them being a tad sloppy/clingy on release, but i fail to see how this pattern would improve on that at all

Like the look of the new stud pattern - Might help the FG model to hold up better.

Not a huge fan of the YYs. I'm not for a minute suggesting that the artist isn't talented, the whole design just looks way too busy for a pair of boots.

From that pic the adipure sl's looking good, for me the adipure sl has always been a step up boot from the original unlike the LZ and adizero models. Any more pics of the sl adipure on the go? Saw the ag soleplate one but there was uncertainty over if it was sl or standard?

    Ask and you shall receive.
Rumored to be K-leather. Nice to see how the plastic guard to prevent sole separation now extends around the base of the forefoot.
That HG version you saw was apparently a Japanese exclusive. Would love to get a pair for turf use though.
