Isn't that why they make an Artificial Grass soleplate?

Yes I think that he is confusing the AG soleplate with the HG, HG is for hard ground and is not suitable for turf.

Well, Nike's AG soleplate sucks donkey-balls. You can use them on indoor turf for 5v5s, but on a bigger field, and especially if it's just slightly wet you'll slide like an idiot and it's just not possible to play (well) in them. Small kids can maybe, but not players that are like 14 and older.

Besides, there are no top-models released in AG, the only one I've seen is the Maestri II EC and maybe the Maestri III. Though no matter how good the upper and rest of the boot may be, I cannot buy the boot because of a lack of grip on artificial grass. Which is supposed to be what it's meant for!

HG is defo suitable for turf, I can't understand how you can pull that statement off.

I just don't see how they would perform any different than FG on turf.

I assume they would perform the same, the studs on the HG versions also seem to be a bit longer than normal.

That may be your experience but the AG soleplate works great for me on turf and I'm quite a bit older than 14 (39 to be precise). Have never slipped in them. I'm using the CTR360 Trequartista III's. The Maestri's offer nothing more over them except ACC.

For indoor turf I use Bombas which also work great and are a derivative of the AG soleplate.

Are you kidding me? Those studs have a much bigger contact/surface area, there are more studs, they aren't as sharp and they give better balance, a bit less grip (thankfully) and a more "low profile" feeling, because some FGs can feel like ice-skates on turf.

Have you used HG on turf? Just wondering, cause they seem like they're too deep and would probably get stuck more often than an AG. I've been using TF on a 3G turf and haven't had any problems with slipping.

I generally stick to turf models mostly. I have a pair of pred x AG that I'll use when its wet though.

Is there a difference between indoor turf and outdoor?

The "grass" blade length of the indoor turf where I play is shorter than outdoors. It's closer to what most would call AstroTurf.

I bought some Adidas Predator Adipowers and after 6 uses I've noticed the upper is already coming apart from the sole. Do you guys know the best way to put in a complaint at Adidas ? Will they do anything about it ? Extremely disappointed.

With the upper coming away from the soleplate, it is to be expected. Adidas include a disclaimer in the box (i recieved one with my 11pros on a little piece of card) that due to the nature of the natural upper (leather) some seperation is natural and will not affect the performance of the boot.

So im not to sure that you will have valid grounds to complain on, unless its a synthetic upper.

Now those look awesome. Interesting that they don't seem to have a Sprintframe or miCoach slot though. Care to post some colour photos?

I'm wearing the CTR360 Trequartista III AG on big fields too, on every weekend since august/2012. They really works for me. The AG soleplates are very comfortable, because reduces the stus pressure in some points.
If I could, I'll buy the Adidas AG and Puma HG to try them too...

I've got a friend who has recent brought the leather version of the first adizeros - he just wanted to know if they are real leather or not? And if they are leather - what sort?

    Cheers!

I've used HG boots on turf, but not Nike's HG soleplate (yet). I don't think that this specific soleplate will get stuck a lot or stuck at all. They don't seem like they will penetrate the turf due to the bigger surface area compare to FG studs. But there's a difference from turf field to turf field.

Think I might well buy a pair of second generation AdiZeros... Great boots.
