    Vaudil, that was it! Awesome.

I too had those shin guards. If I remember correctly they came in some water tight packaging so they couldn't get wet and screw up the molding process. Then you had to like keep them wrapped around your leg for like 30 minutes?

That's how I remember them. I think I still have mine somewhere, they are no longer molded but rather flimsy after much use in wet conditions. They should re introduce the moldabe shinnys I think. I'd get another pair.

Nope. They were the same fiberglass you get in a cast, but thinner.

Not sure where you see anything going to the toe. Anyway, I was just saying the strip is the same. Nothing else compares to that boot - except maybe the soleplate. Looks to be a totally different silo.

I don't think the "strip" is the same on both shoes.

Notice how the shoes above only have one strip on the outside, while the yellow strip on Sven Bender's shoes splits on the outside of the boot:

But of course, it's not necessarily a different silo, could be a synthetic version or SL version.

There's no argument to be had, it's simple, the boots in the 2 pictures are COMPLETELY different. Look at the 3 stripes, look at the material, look at the general design, look at the strip, it's obvious.

Agreed. I was getting very confused when people were talking about it being the same boot.
The blackout one looks like adidas's version of the Green Speed.

got to be f50 sl that we have heard about before, But its yet to be released. Maybe adidas are holding it back because of the new vapor and the GS?

The new design of F50 is due out in December so id image that they are going to hold the SL version until then? To be honest i thought that Adidas has given up on a deluxe model after the poor sales of the Adizero Primes last time around.

I know for sure that adidas are working on a football boot that they call 'The Dassler' and is supposed to weight between 130-140 grams. With short descripton it's kind of a mix with the elements of adiZero and Predator. I don't know anything more - or if these pictures is of 'The Dassler'.

Figueroa seems to be wearing the F50 SL that was leaked and then removed from sale?

Isnt that the predator sl? Apart from the weight, the predator sl is virtually the same as the adizero with predator elements.

And why would they make a boot that is lighter than the adizero which theier main selling point is the weight or lack of..

They need. A 4th boot like the ctr or if that is what the pred is competing against then a power boot!
I would have thought they would just release the lz boots with a slight modification and do 'control' 'power' and so on like they did with the powerswerves - marketing at its best!

Does anyone know the release date of the new infrared/silver F50s that messi has just switched too? I know no other players are allowed to wear them until 15th September.

lol.. this is why I love forums. All I said was the strip looked similar. Not the boot. Not the 3 stripes. Not the material. Not the design.

What's obvious that people need to start reading what's actually typed as opposed to what they think/want to see.

They do look very comfy. Very interested in them. Looks like leather in the forefoot and some sort of sock like mesh from the mid-foot go back.

They're available for purchase in mid-September too, probably the 15th.

VP with bladed studs. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but it's the first time I'm seeing it.

I'm intrigued to know why Van Persie requests bladed boots.

He wore them in the prem, I remember noticing the red studs on the rear the retail has white. Tbh I prefer the AdiPower sole over the LZ/AdiZero sole.
