that "knuckling" and movement is player created, not because the quality of the ball has decreased. you have to realize that boots made today tend to have some sort of grip/swerve surface on the instep which aids in curve...something they didn't have in boot technology during the tango (well, the beginnings of the predator anyway)....also, ball skin has become grippier as of late. check this video:

to think high end balls today are worse than ones created more than a decade ago is incorrect

The ball being used in the African cup of nations looks like it has a mind of its own with how much the bold design (which must be off putting) is spinning around.

    Agree with illdthedj,
less panels helps to improve a precise pass/kick, you get more control of the ball. For us trained with balls like the Tango, getting used to lighter more spherical balls is at the beginning different, but it improves at the end the game. Not to say, the materials of the jabulani i have tested are much softer.
I would not fear to have a header with a jabulani instead of an old tango which feels harder.

guys, we just got in the $40 Top Training WC 2010 ball. Its very very nice for the price. Its the same 8 panel design as the $140, with the same thermo bonding. Very nice ball at that price IMO.

From a rather reliable source, the manufactures cost is about $55, allegedly.

Anyone see this tweet from soccer.com?
"Only 90 days left till the 2010 WC Final. Who will get the winning goal? One thing's for sure, they'll score with this. http://bit.ly/9OLLGc"

I think a gold Jabulani would look terrible but I wonder what it will be.

Yeah, I can imagine how ugly the golden Jabulani looks like.

Will there be limited edition of regular (not the final golden and ugly version) Jabulani match balls with the names of the two opposing teams for sale, like they did 4 years ago?

i just got em today. They were the real deal!

Me and my buddy kicked one around and i was so impressed and amazed. This is the first official match ball i've ever played with in my life so yea that could explain why lol. I've never seen a ball fly so true. Juggling is such a breeze. It literally feels like the ball is doing all the work for you. I don't hafta put much power behind my shots and the ball still goes sailing. Same with adding spin to it. As for trapping, it so much easier. It dies on my foot. Now i know how the pro's do it lol. Its the damn ball! haha

I brought it to a pick up game today at the park and nobody wanted to play with any other ball lol. Usually we play with like 5-6 balls but today everyone wanted my ball haha.
