    Who isn't?

Don't get me wrong - I am an avid ACC fan, and will support EVERY ACC team that gets a nod in the NCAA's .. until they have to face UMD.. Then.. I gotta go UMD...

I don't think WF has the horses to pull the cart .. but thats why they play the games....

    Anyone else watching this game?

Maryland looks like they're playing downhill. They have most of the ball and are creating most of the chances and only the strong play of Scott Goodwin has kept the Terps off the board.

Maryland dodges a bullet after Danny Garcia gets taken down in the box but the ref swallows the whistle. It was a 50-50 call but we've all seen those go either way. Tony DiCicco, who is doing color, thought it was a PK.

In the 89th minute, just after Maryland had a shot cleared off the line by UNC, Rob Lovejoy draws a legit PK and steps up to take it and has it saved by Cardona, who also did well to deny the rebound.

Earlier in the half, both teams hit the woodwork once each.

And in the 90th minute Patrick Mullins hits the post on a long shot from distance.

End of regulation now. Headed to OT still 0-0.

That was a crazy last 5-10 minutes of regulation

Maryland qins it in the 109th. Can't tell who scored yet, Mullins, Schuma or an OG.

EDIT: Matchtracker is crediting the goal to Schuma, who started the play, slid a pass to Mullins on the let side of the box and then unleashed a low hard-shot that Schuma redirected after charging to the net.

Like I tell my kids in rec league, good things happen when you go to goal.

Earlier in OT, UNC hit another post.

    Great college soccer game.

You've gotta hope that we get to see a rematch at least one more time this year on a dry field.

    Great game.

Great atmosphere and a great game to watch on the tv. Was a Maryland fan yelling at the ref, "you're going to get shot after the game," After the penalty kick was called?

Would have liked to watch the game on a dry field. Maryland has looked a step above some good opponents each time I've watched them. Very solid team with strong defense, a lot of speed in the mid-field and capable finishers up top. Would really like to watch them play against Akron.

Was just rewatching it, and no, that didn't happen. A fan was imploring Scott (Goodwin) to look at him.

I'd like to see Maryland's bottom 11 play a full schedule! Bet they'd end up ranked top 25. Insane talent sitting around on that bench.

Based on substitution trends, this is what the second XI would probably look like for Maryland, assuming Kemp was healthy:

    ----------------Tatum------------------
    Cyrus-Fernandez-Leikvang-Ambrose
    ----------------Shinsky-----------------
    --------Endoh------------Raley-------
    ----------------Kabelik-----------------
    --------Francois----------Pace---------

And on the bench would still be guys like Saint Cyr, Roach, Eticha, and even the redshirted forwards Fraser and Reid.

Don't think you can really make a case for Ambrose being on a second team seeing how I believe he's played the most minutes of any player this year.

Doesn't Ambrose play RB when Kemp is in at LB? and if not, it's Cyrus or Saint Cyr right?

    Regardless, that roster is ridiculous.

Ambrose only plays RB because Sasho figures he needs to be on the field somewhere. He's technically the second-choice LB and has been starting there full-time in Kemp's absence.

Your statement is true too, but who is at right back then on your first XI? Obviously can't have Ambrose there if he's on the second XI team.

That's what I was getting at! Remove Ambrose from that second XI (to fill in the first XI RB slot) and Saint Cyr probably finds his way into the starting lineup at a wingback position. Or Roach at CB and Leikvang out wide? Not that it matters.. the point is, they are DEEP!

Yeah, the outside back spot is where the Terps are a bit weak in depth. If Ambrose were to go down... I don't wanna think about it.
