Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Immediately. It's between him and Boyata, the young Belgian on loan from Man City, for #3 CB.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Coyle was just interviewed in SKYSports. The work permit has been approved, but won't be issued until later this week. They're hopeful but not certain it will be issued in time for Wednesday's game. Coyle said that if it's issued on time Ream will be in the 18, and he didn't rule out playing him.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton What precludes Ream from "working out" er "visiting" the team as part of a "touristy" vacation ? I don't recall needing a visa with US passport to visit England last time I went.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Nothing precludes training with them. Lots of MLS players did or are doing just that.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Nothing. Ream won't get back into the country until his WP is issued at the embassy in NY though. If his WP is issued today he could jump on a JFK-Manchester red eye tonight. Realistically this weekend at the absolute earliest to be considered.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton From Soccer America: Ream takes his game to Premier League
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I find that interesting, and somewhat reassuring.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I'd like to at least hope that a manager would watch a potential signing, especially for $3 million (or whatever the number was). I do know however, that it is not always the case.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I thought this was also encouraging - "West Brom said when I went over there, that’s when they were really persuaded." - I assume that means he looked good in training?
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Anyone know what number he will wear? Cahill's old #5?
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I don't think you can take someone else's squad number in the same season, so maybe he could grab #5 next season.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Seems like Bolton is having a good transfer deadline day, getting Miyaichi on loan from Arsenal and possibly Sordell from Watford.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Owen Coyle just announced that he won't be in the squad for tomorrow's match against Norwich since he's only due to get back in the UK Friday evening. He will however be in the squad for the game against Wigan next Saturday.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Bummer. Everyone wants to see him Ream the EPL.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton Drat. So we still won't be sure that Tim Ream and Zak Whitbread are not, in fact, the same person. I've been calling Zak the blond Tim Ream for a while now. They have pretty much the same "game."
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton From what I've seen of Zak (not much), he is much better in the air.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton so is Ream back in the UK yet? I'm impatient to see him in the EPL. maybe Wigan would be a good game to get the feet wet.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton No, still no WP. Must be imminent as his wife has been tweeting about their shortly moving to Bolton.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton in the post that he is not going to be in the lineup, Coyle alluded to the fact that Ream is returning to the UK Friday night, so I assume that all the paperwork is done. This whole one month process is a bit ridiculous.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton 2 weeks for a WP to be granted from application, to hearing, to appeal is pretty good all things considered. The WP itself wouldve been issued upon Ream's arrival back in NY but for whatever reason there were 'issues' that stopped it being issued until now.

Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton If he plays, it could be a decent test because Wigan scores in most games.
Re: A Wanderful Ream Has Come True: Tim Ream @ Bolton I believe they have United and Chelsea next up so this is sort of a must win.
